Hi all, been lurking for a few weeks since I got a BFP. I'd like to be added to the list too please

roversbabe 10 weeks ish - edd initially 11/1/13, now 20/1/13 (but might change again after my scan!) - scan date 5/7/12

At my booking in appointment, I was given an EDD of 11th Jan with the dates. I had a panicky wobble last week as I was getting tight pains across my abdomen, like AF pains & our local hospital midwives got me an appointment at the early pregnancy unit. According to the scan, I was 8+3, even though I thought I was 9+5. She said just a few mm can make days of difference at this stage so my due date will probably change again!

The early pregnancy unit were absolutely brilliant, really reassured me and it was so nice to see the heartbeat at this early stage. They were also really reassuring about my age - I'll be nearly 40 when the baby is born.

Welcome roversbabe ! glad to hear everything is ok with ur baby, Ive just turned 28 so baby will arrive months before Iam 29, is this your first baby ?

Oh and I have already decided the baby names,Valentina for a girl, Lionel for a boy.

Ive got a pocket nappy I bought on a wim off ebay today... im going to wash it tomorrow and see how long it takes to dry as they cant go in the tumble... it was only £5!!! Bargin all round

Thank you - this is my second, I have a 5 year old son. He's really excited about being a big brother. Not decided on any names yet, got a few ideas

Welcome roversbabe, glad your scare turned out ok. I'm 40 too so you do feel that additional anxiety of being an older mum and wondering if the body is up to it (but I'm sure we are).

Had my first taste of saying no to alcohol last night when we had friends round, wasn't too bad, but just one vodka and coke would have been nice lol. Everyone wondering why I'm not drinking but no-one guessed .

Weird feelings too... almost like a sense of loss about my 4 year old DD, I'm hugging her and kissing her all the time (freaking her out lol) as I'm aware that things are going to change soon and she won't be my baby anymore, there'll be a new one on the scene and family dynamic is bound to change. It'll all be good and positive.... just different.

Ohh i have a 5 yo too ! and baby is due on the 04/02/13 !! My little girl lost her first tooth yesterday, i have been feeling so sad, like time keeps flying and she is not my baby anymore.
