my scan lasted like 30 min first time around, i never had the blood test tho.

afternoon ladies.. how are you all?

we got back a little while ago and yes we met the little one!!:j i was so nervous that i even didnt look at the screen. DH was though. we were made to go out and have a drink and something to eat as the baby wasnt in the right position for its skin to be measured so she was poking my belly and stuff. ouch.. the initial scan with measurements, checking arms and legs went fine. phew. We saw his/her little hands and legs. i was crying as you can imagine.

DH is more concerned about the nuchal test than anything else, and he has managed to upset me when we got home, as i feel he is not showing much emotion at all. meh.. so came in cried and now i have a headache. why are men such effort?

anyway am calming myself by looking at the scan pics. :T our little bubba is ok. yay..

so.. i am supposedly 13+4 (and i thought i was 13 weeks tomorrow) and the EED is now 24/12/2012. i dont care when, but i want a nice healthy baby.

:j i probably have to leave here and go to the other thread no? sob sob. is that the 12-14 weeks one?

Hi Rups, congratulations! that sounds amazing. If your OH is anything like mine it will begin to feel more real once he can feel little one kicking. He is probably being guarded to protect himself and be strong for you should the results come back negative (Once these come back, generally about a week or two he should calm down)

There is a 12-24 week thread which is quite quiet but you are more than welcome to join the big girls pregnancy thread too.

rups, so good it all went ok !! Did they say the nuchal measurament tho ? they used that and the blood test to tell you the risk.

Thanks so much girls... i am happy but am tired and have a headache so am drained. plus i am still annoyed (less now) at him so i want to kill him. he listed earlier the things he HAD done for me and told me off for moaning at him. just wanted a nice hug you know? i was all smiley and i admit he did mention seeing the baby's head, arms etc but he so lacks emotion at times. it is annoying. we are all different and as i am over hormonal i am over analysing. should calm down and eat as i am hungry.. yay!!! i feel so relieved now.

kittenpie are u on the 12-24 then?

thanks morocha. they tried to measure the skin before but baby's position was wrong so was sent out to drink and walk about. lol. then when we went back, the baby still hasnt turned so she was prodding my belly a bit ouch. i had a lot of gas in there. haha. she managed to measure it and also i have my blood for the test. they said to wait few days, if high risk, they will call me, if not, then a letter.

ohh Rups, have some to eat and try to calm down, i have crazy hormones too and make a big deal of everything also say horrible things that i normally would not say.
I am so glad you are a graduated now, sad to see you go but happy everything is ok with your little baby. we will all see each another again in the big girls thread where everyone will be so close to the happy ending.
