Good luck for your scan today, Rups. Thinking of you. It's such a wonderful moment seeing your baby on screen for the first time :)

Morning all! Hope everyone is doing ok!

Rups - good luck today. Hope everything goes ok for you. Will be lurking later (as usual! lol) to see how you got on.

Skintchick, my DH is the same - never really remembers dates whereas i never forget them. i usually remind him a bit before but then I tend not to make a fuss of our anniversary or my birthday so never too bothered but can totally understand how it would annoy you. At least he eventually remembered! and feels suitably upset at forgetting! I can go on the list if you want. On LMP I am 9+0 today and have my scan and booking in on 4 July so will be just before I hit 11 weeks. So:

    Nephthys 9+0 EDD 25 Jan 2013 scan date 4/7/12

Totally bricking it due to previous history so also understand a little bit how some of you feel as well. Have been having some nasty cramps the last couple of days. The sort that make you stop and hold your breath! and then run to the bathroom to make sure there is nothing bad going on!

AFM I have had horrendous MS. Not actual throwing up but horrific nausea. Only feels slightly better if I lie down. Eating doesn't help and neither does not eating. I had nausea for my entire pregnancy with DS but really don't remember it being that bad! I also have pelvic girdle pain again. In fact it was my first symptom this time followed the the nausea! Methinks I might be on crutches even sooner this time. Get my PMA - keeping myself positive that this pregnancy will continue. I really want to feel a little better but scared that if the sickness goes away that i will panic that something is wrong!

Hi to the newbies! I tend to lurk mostly but feel like I know everyone as I read the threads every day! I promise I am not a mad stalker - just a little bit shy! :rotfl:and now that i have written War and Peace I will go back to lurksville! :)

    Tattoo-,

I know its a bit different in NI. I've been told up to 2 hours but that includes my scan. Maybe an hour and a half for the rest? It's the form filling, blood taking part that takes a while!

That is so cool if they offer deals and stuff. Nappies are so expensive arent they? my friend who has a baby says Tesco's one are quite cheap.
starving as usual. have ordered some Indian Take-away since cant use the hobs :)

For disposables - friends of mine use the ones from kiddicare. Apparently they are really cheap, deliver weekly and if you don't use all of one size, you can send them back and swap for a bigger size. will be looking into it myself :)

    Morning all,

Rups- hope it's all gone ok, let us know as we'll all be constantly updating the thread looking for your post!!

    Happy belated anniversary skintchick!

Hope everyone else is good and managing to stay reasonably calm.

I've just had my booking in, am 9+2 today, she only did half the appointment as it was with the community midwife team at the hospital as he lady who will be my main midwife is on hols, I see her at the surgery next thurs at 1pm. The midwife this morning was so lovely though, hope my main one is too! She said there's a 3 week lead time for scan bookings so would look like i'll be around the 12-13 weeks mark. Can't wait for the date to come through!

I'm going to be red pathway and shared care as have some very minor heart issues- a murmur and a leaky valve, had both in my first pregnancy 8 years ago and they weren't too worried then so it all seems to be precautionary. I also had quite a bad postpartum haemorrhage with DD that resulted in me having a couple of units transfusion so something else to see the consultant about but it was nothing I wasn't expecting.

It all seems very real now! Just got into work and it's all kicking off so I should probably get off of here. On my phone though so will be checking for your post rups!!

Oh dear, he's got some serious making-up to do skintchick. My hubby forgot mother's day and had a lie in till noon! I went !!!!!! mad lol.

And would love to go on the list, I'm 5+3 EDD 21st Feb.

After initial euphoria of testing postitive all the worries about m/c etc are setting in. But also the desire to buy a pushchair already is very strong. ;)

Got to say, i bought my travel system a week after the positive, so i was effectively 5 weeks when i bought and had it at home. It is a quinny buzz3 with the cabrio car seat, apart from that, havent bought anything no even baby clothes, just try to take it slowly now... maybe after the 12 wk scan.
