    Hi...

Im 7 weeks at the mo and im 28 had my midwife app this week but have to wait for my scan. Really excited tho, need to start thinking about budgeting really hard (this is my first) was wondering if anyone has used terry towling nappies? I thought this would save us a few bob and if so where did they buy em?

I havent had any sickness yet tho my boobs feel like ive rubbed them on the pebble dash outside my house:rotfl:

Also if anyone has any advise on what basics you need and what you dont that would be really helpful, me and hubby aint that bad off but trying to save as I want to pack work after maternity in due to childcare costs and not working in a really childfriendly place/ weird shifts etc.

    Thanks MrsGeee

Have a look on http://www.goreal.org.uk/ also there may be a scheme run by your local council. I'm in Leeds and they offer a £30 free trial pack or £50 cashback on a purchase of re-useable nappies. They aren't terry towelling now though, they are amazing, you can get cute designs and everything. You should find plenty of info on the site I mentioned.

Yep although the initial outlay for reusable nappies seems a lot you can get ones which last from birth to potty training so it saves money in the long run.

As for the price of nappies, I currently have just under 400 nappies in different sizes and brands (mainly huggies and pampers) and have paid less than 50p for them all lol x
