What about BT line rental alternatives? Is Plusnet ok?They are a BT subsidiary.
BT owned yes, but still a whole lot better and cheaper.
Call charges are here and intro bonus is here.
As suggested above, use them with 18185 for non-inclusive calls.0 -
BT owned but independently run (so far).No free lunch, and no free laptop

How good are o2 I can add there land line to my BB for an extra £7.66pm ?0

I moved to O2 last month. The changeover went without a hitch and I'm very happy. My bill (when the introductory offer runs out) will be £22-73 pm for line rental, any time calls, Caller Display and BB. The BB is a little slower than it was with Be who quoted 24 Mbps and delivered 21 Mbps - O2 quoted 20 Mpbs and I get 18 Mpbs.
But as previously I was paying rental of £34.99 pm plus about £6-00 pm to 18185 so the savings are, to me, considerable.0
