I use Insure&Go - not sure what their normal policies are like because I have the platinum cover which covers me for my business trips too. I pay around £50 but they do have cheaper insurances. I have glaucoma and an eye disease called uveitis which are covered.

I used to use this company until I have to make a claim for a medical bill run up on a P&O cruise. The bill was over £1000 and they still didn't really cure me. The NHS did that when I returned. Insure&Go wanted my complete medical history from my GP. I though this was a liberty. My GP looked at the bill and said it would have cost £250 in the UK even if you went private. I changed to another company who specialise in exiting medical condition insurance.

I use Freedom Insure http://www.freedominsure.co.uk You have to complete a telephone questionnaire on you existing medical conditions. It can cost a lot more than standard travel insurance but at least you are covered including your existing conditions.

Depends on what the existing medical condition is, I am looking for cover for family and my wife has MS, so am looking at insurance via the MS Society, but it looks like the Post Office is also worth a look.

Interested to hear other peoples views (going on a crusie and cruise company's insurance is very expensive)..

Hi I also have MS and found the companies on the MS Society very dear so after alot of searching i found the company below that i have used for the last 3 holidays as they are a smaller company and it covers me and my carer as a whole and gets me and her home at any time if i am poorly or she is.

I've used one called All Clear. They do an online quote so it's easy to see if it's any good for you.

Sorry for the delay it's not fish4 but fishinsurance.co.uk. They specialise in insurance for people with disabilities or who have mobility problems.

Allclear travel insurance were very expensive! £900 for a week in spain.

A relative had cancer more than 5 years which did spread. Now they are all clear for 5years and not on any treatment. Anyone recommend any insurer that will cover ex-cancer patients, as some wont insure them because it spread.

No one seems to have thought about Quidco. You can get plenty of quotes online, and if one fits the bill you'll get cashback too.

My partner and I went to Dominican Republic 16 months ago. I have Epilepsy, non epileptic seizures, asthma, depression and other things, they were all declared, and my partner has an autoimmune disease which causes dangerously high blood pressure and after cashback we paid about £20 total for 2 weeks.
Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)
