poppy dog - you're only as old as you feel ;)

Or indeed as old as the man you feel ;):p:D:rotfl:

Which in my case makes me older but we'll gloss of that part ;)

Afternoon one and all :D

DD woke at 5am this morning and wouldn't go back off to sleep so am feeling shattered. Am going to make a concerted effort with her potty training too. She's happy to use it the potty and has no accidents when she's got nothing on but as soon as I put her into pants then she wets herself. I foresee a looooooong weekend of changing clothes :rotfl:
Not much OS going on here today. Need to put vac round and clean the bathroom and by the time I've mustered the energy for that it will be school run time!

Really windy here but dry so that's a bonus. Very dark and dull though, need my miners helmet lamp to see my way LOL

JackieG - Am really pleased to see you posting. Have missed you. Hope your OK, be really lovely to see you back for good xx

Loulou - Hope DS is on the mend soon xx

Hugs for all of you who are poorly or have poorly OH's etc. January definately seems to have been a month of illness for us all. Lets hope the rest of Feb fares better.

Hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a good day OS or not.

PS. Marchlands - not heard of it but am intrigued. What channel was it on?

Afternoon peeps. Not quite as gusty winds but still windy. Horizontal rain as well. Dogs to walk in a minute - keep peering out to see if it is easing but no. They hate going out in the rain and trudge along mournfully.
(((hugs))) to the unwell among us. Sorry to hear you're still under the weather jackieg - tried sending a PM yesterday but box full. Will try again.
redruby -hoping you are having more of a relaxing day . I think it goes against the grain with you to put your feet up but that's what you need to do. I can give you lessons in it if you like;).
Tea is something from the freezer along with pasta - I'll stir in some pesto and garlic soft cheese (Lidl's is good) and DH will think I've been ages in the kitchen. Menu planning has gone well this week and it's been a bit of a relief to know that I just look at my list even if it is sometimes vague like today's 'something from freezer'. There are fish cakes and some veggie burger type things in there so I'll see what we fancy.
Going to peer into the flylady thread this afternoon as I need a bit of motivation to get back to routines.
Some bedding to sort out and also a load of towels to wash.
Keep dry folks, if you have this rain. If you don't have it, smile and be glad :)

My MIL does all the stuffing--the majority without meat--we tend to buy in food like stuffed vine leaves from a shop in the local parade near home-its homemade a a bit more expensive but tastes good*not as good as MIL`s though!--i am trying an english keyboard at work*where i am now and its a `mare-all the punctuation as well as the letters are jumbled\ hence the mess!
-but its does mean i can do some of the command program work without help from a Turkish speaker! joys of living abroad and not speaking the lingo!

bitsy if your dd was a ds then i would have suggested boxer shorts! sounds daft but it works. i find that when they wear knickers/pants it feels like a nappy but boxer shorts are loose. i know that sounds silly but have known it to work several times!

well ds has gone downhill again. he is lying like a startfish on my bed snoring his head off. have put a couple of pillows under him to prop him up a bit which seems to helped his cough. he just sounds so congested. have rubbed Karvol on his chest but doesnt seem to making any difference :( he kept rubbing his nose and moaning at me. think he must be bunged up good and proper :( as soon as the nurofen wears off, his temperature shoots up again. alans gone to the chemist to see if he can get some saline drops for his nose. hopefully they'll help clear it

Afternoon all

Bit of a late one from me today, this morning has been all over the place. DH rang at 7am thinking he'd either lost or not picked up his works mobile phone, he'd left it on the dining room table! He'd taken the earpiece that was right next to it but left the phone, so I took his phone into his workplace as someone else was going to meet him to do some work with him.

It just seems to have thrown my day out of order for some reason, don't feel like I've achieved anything, got to the sm late and it was heaving, so that took longer than normal and had a couple of jobs to do in town - everything done now though.

Just need to do some baking which I'm going to start shortly.

Got a result with sorting out my car, DH delivers to a small firm who do car body repairs and spoke to the guy there, he asked us to email a photo and he came back and said he can do the job for £150 and we are taking the car on Sunday for him to start Monday - really pleased to be getting it sorted and not breaking the bank!

Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Very, very windy here today, Last night about 5 miles away a tree came down on top of a car and killed the driver. A 51 year old man. Who knows what fate has instore for us all.

I woke up this morning feeling a lot better, not right but better. The trouble is iv slowley been feeling worse as the day has gone on:mad:

Iv just had some homemade roasted butternut and garlic soup. So im hope that the garlic helps.

Not sure that we are going to have for our dinner tonight.

Dose anyone wont to have a go at me for my posts last night?

Have a great day everyone:j:j

Morning

It's FFFFridaaaaaaay :T woop woop

It's blowing a hoolie and raining atm, hope the rain subsides so i can get the washing onthe line;).

My friend at the school is giving me her old sewing machine today :T, but i think i#m a bit out of my depth with it :o, the last time oi used one was at school :o, but i thought as it was going free i could maybe learn how to use it :D.
Tea today DH is making steak mushroom pie :D.
Usual picking and putting away for me today also need to clean the bathroom.
Need to pick up some paid for ironing too.
I have decided i shall park my car up for the time being as the tax/ins/mot are due now so will use DH's when needed and save the money.

Have good days - Hold onto your hats :D

Good luck with the sewing machine:j:j You will get on fine with it. If i can use on ethen so can you. Mind you i do have to say that mine is not an all singing all danceing one. Its an old singer thats hand powerd. Built around the late 1920s Works like a dream. I have also got another one the same but a bit later model early 1940s. This one all the wooden bottem is rotten so is can not be used. But the machine its self is in good working order and as mos of it is the same as the one iv got when i get time im going to strip it all down and keep the parts to use as spares as and when.
Enjoy:j:j

Nope, not me :p. Sometimes when we're ill we think we're better in the morning but reality sets in later and we're not well after all. Does that make sense? Make sure you have plenty fluids and try to rest as much as poss with twins!! Very sad news about the driver near you. how awful.
Lou - your poor little lad. Would he sit under a towel with you and be steamed? I used to sit under one and tell my kids stories when they had bad ear infections when they were wee. It really helps clear bunged up bits.
Off to make soup:)

I have planned a weekend of baking and house tidying! I actually can't wait to get home and get started. If i sort the house tonight (with a glass of wine to help me as I go) i can spend tomorrow in the kitchen making healthy sweet treats. OH wants to try some cereal bars, think i will make him hobnobs too. I have some puff pastry and sweet shortcrust to use up, so will probably do sausage rolls and then a pie of some description - although bored of our usual apple pie so if any one can suggest something that i can maybe do in individual portions that would be lovely :)

I hate people who are just jobsworth! This one woman here is 'tittletattling' for crying out loud! She's in her 30's!!!

Ran to the Boss because she found some errors in a document... he asked if I was going to fix them and looked shocked when I told him that they were 2 minor spelling errors!!

!!!!!!!

So today she just keeps ringing me to tell me about other 'errors' she has found... all of which is just plain rubbish!

At least this weekend I will be at home having a life....!

Sorry :o Rant Over!
