Morning all!!
Work was busy yesterday which was great, then went to sainsburys and got a new duvet set for £9, it was originally £30! so impressed with that one. Spent too much in total as didn't take a list, but it was all on things we needed so it'll work out alright.
I am just about to do my hair and head off to work. Our fire alarm went off at half six this morning! Couldn't find a fire, it's an industrial one as there is an office below our house so i don't think it was batteries.
Have a lovely day all!Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Morning all!
have fun with the sewing machine bargainbird they're easy to use i swear
Another rubbish night for me, was up every 1-2 hours feeling carp for varying reasons, but oddly don't feel tired which is just as well as I've got a loooooong day at uni and need my brain to be working this morning! I'm a disgusting sweaty mess thanks to the fever grr so have decided to throw my hair in a bun and spend my "prettifying time" relaxing with a cup of tea
I'd love to be lazy and get the bus but the traffic makes it quicker to walk at this time of day.
NOTHING OS going on here today! Will just pop some hm lasanga/soup in the micro when I get home then slop into bed ahhhh

Oh Taplady - forgot to mention in my post - hope you are OK, it must have been such a horrible shock for you.x0

Morning All
Winds are still howling here today and I woke up to find a fence panel broken not a good start to the day.:(
I have a head full of cold and can't stop sneezing and if it wasn't for the fact that I have to go shopping today I would go back to bed:( I will pick up a bottle of night-nurse while I am out, at least I will get a good night's sleep with that.
DD cut her finger really badly last night and it shook her up so badly she nearly passed out  but the cut is not stitchable where it is so we have put a dressing on and hopefully it will heal within a week.
On the upside did anyone watch Marchlands last night? - I really thought it was good, I love a good ghost story
Well I am off to get some brekkie have good days everyone xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Morning,
My new bed's ensuring I get a decent night's kip so I was up around 6.15, this is not the usual pattern, have analysed a student's test results and fired off half a dozen work emails already.
I haven't been able to ride my trike the past few days due to high winds, still looks very breezy this morning up here in Co Durham. So a bus and shopping trolley fuelled shopping trip looks on the cards, rather than a trike fuelled trip.
I've been de-cluttering and it's going well but needs to keep going. I keep uncovering toiletries, which is useful for the No Buying Toiletries thread but not so useful from the clutter standpoint.
Will have to see what OS meals I can rustle up out of the fridge and freezer.. 350 g bacon to use up. Onion, bacon and potato hotpot, or bacon, apple and onion fryup, or bacon and cheese puff pastry wraps .. yum.
Have a lovely day everyone. The weekend looms - even though I'm always working from home, it still feels better for being a Saturday and Sunday!!Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Taplady - hope you have recovered from the shock xx
Redruby - Hope you have a good rest today xx
Hope the poorly people are beginning to feel better.
Well WM is on as per usual. I have agreed to run DS2 into school as he overslept this morning.
Its very windy here and the dogs love it - they stand in the garden with their noses to the wind. Its also warmer so even Molly is out there! We are going to make a small raised bed for some therapeutic gardening for me to do. Its not really OS as we priced it up and I could buy veggies cheaper but I need to do something positive!
The wind kept me awake last night so will need a snooze later. Just have my eldest son home today as he has a day off work so will go back to bed when I have dropped G off. He has cookery school tomorrow. I paid for him to have a day working one-to-one as he loves cooking. It is something that I would have done in the past but Im a liability in the kitchen at the best of times so this a good alternative. He wants to make an apple pie and baking. He also has to practice his food technology cooking as he has the final assessment on Tuesday.
Well I have warbled on so will go and get ready to face the world xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Good morning!
Bit windy here this morning but no rain yet. Not working today so in bed with the lappie and a cuppa. The chaps have gone to work. OH at 6.30 and DS just as he works round the corner.
I am having my second guitar lesson today and I've got an induction at the local gym on a Dr's referral scheme.
Not very OS today as I am also going out for a meal with the other tutor and last year's Level 3 students this evening. OH and DS have already got together and decided tea is from the chippy.
Sorry to hear about the burglary Tappers-what a shock for you!
On the housework front I need to sort out the bedroom because I didn't do it earlier in the week. Washing to do of course...might have to go to the launderette to dry the bedding this weekend. I did manage to nearly dry some outside last weekend though so fingers crossed!
Have a good day everyone.

Morning All,
Thank goodness it's Friday:j
Very windy and wet here, the windows really rattled last night. DS convinced we have a ghost, he is addicted to most haunted!
Butterfly Brain, I have recorded Marchland and going to watch it today. Glad it was good, I love a good ghost story too:D
Well what a night. DH and I had a major row. Very unusual for us. We have been together about 28yrs and very few cross words but he really really made me cross last night:mad: He called at the pub for a pint on the way home with the lads which I don't mind at all as he very rarely goes out but instead of telling me he pretended they were still on a job and wouldn't answer his phone. He was with my DS3 who also didn't answer and all I wanted to know was a time to put the rice on! I was so mad, I didn't sleep a wink. He has apologised profusely saying they were just having a laugh but I hate lies. I have calmed down now and he is very sheepish. It seems silly now I have written it down:o but just very out of character. Anway we are out for a meal tonight so better get my happy head on.
I am going to have a lazy day today. No tea to make. DS3 is having pizza and we are out so going to wrap up and catch up on some TV. DGS staying on Saturday night so need to conserve some energy:)
Have a good Friday xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning all
I'm a bit cleary eyed this morning even tho DH let me lie on til half seven (how sad that 7:30 is a lie in!!) He's now in bed as he was working til half three and then had to go out at half four til six so he didnt sleep last night. Kids are away to school/work so just me and DD for a few hours.
Its our christmas do for work tonight (it got cancelled in the bad weather before christmas) and my sparkly dress will look very out of place now so might need a re-think. Have a few MS jobs to get out of the way today and will come back and get bathed, put comfies on and take the step kids to their mums and then come back and get dressed - i'll be cutting it a bit fine but should be ok.
Have some peppered steak in the freezer which will do for DH/DS's dinner and I've some spanish rice that will defrost for DD.
Its wet and windy here but sounds a bit calmer than last night! Have a good day xClimbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

Happy Friday everyone - so glad it`s the last working day of the week.
So tired this morning so didn`t get to the gym as planned.
It`s very windy here but at least it`s dry. Don`t like the look of the clouds though.
Must try to get some decluttering done at the weekend. The house looks like a tip because there`s so much stuff lying around.
I bought some fabric to make a door curtain before Christmas and still haven`t made it. Just need to remember how to make a lined curtain now.
Anyway it`s time for work now - so must get on. Have a great day everyone.0
