I am looking at second hand chairs on Ebay. The reasons for wanting one are because Im scared of taking the baby into my bed incase I fall asleep with him (which I probably would!) and I wont know what is happening with him, I dont want to put him at risk. I didnt even think about a chair until recently but now I have Im seeing the plus side of having it. Although we do have a sofa bed in the nursery I dont want to use that either as that can be even more dangerous for baby! They do say dont sleep on the sofa with babies afterall.

we have a lovely rocking/gliding chair in our bedroom that I feed DS on for bedtime feed, night feed and breakfast. when he goes into his own room we'll do the same but in his room, and when he's no-longer bfing he'll sit on daddy's knee on the chair and be read his bedtome story. DS finds the rocking motion very relaxing and it can help calm him if he's being fractious during a feed.
If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:

Do you have a big baby shop nearby where you can try a few out and see if you like them at all? :D

Not really very close but sounds like a good excuse to hit the shops! I love rocking chairs but wondered how much use it'd have but sounds like a fair bit. We'll have room I think so I'll go window shopping soon and then when DH has decorated the room and everything is in position I'll make a final decision.

Hello everyone, I hope you don't mind me joining you. I did used to post in the less than 12 weeks board.
I am now nearly 35 weeks, baby girl due 8th July.
I have to go to hospital on Weds as at 34 weeks I was only measuring 29cm so midwife thought it would be best to get checked at hospital to make sure baby girl is growing ok.
She is def getting stronger as her kicking is starting to hurt! Me and my partner are both petite so she will prob just be a healthy, small baby.
It's just slightly worrying that's all.
Is anyone else due to same time as me?
    Anyone else measuring small?
    My daughters are my world

Emerald I have never actually been measured during pregnancy as I am diabetic and my babys growth is measured by scan but I have had lots of comments from people I barely know and ones I don't even know on how small my bump is. :o. Coincidentally my baby measures above the 95th centile. :)

I've never been measured really either.. though the once or twice I have permitted the mw's to grope me they moaned about them being too small... and they all turned out perfectly average.. yet everyone said my bumps were enormous .. which they were mostly.. the one time the bump was smal I had the biggest baby! Mine have all been back to back bar one.. so with their spines curled tightly into mine they actually felt tiny. This one is coming up about 22cm at 20 weeks.. I think I am in for another huge long snakey baby!!

All my babies have been long, all above the 75th centile, DD1 was almost off the scale :D

I wouldn't know what to do with a short baby :rotfl:

I have just realised I am 10 weeks now and I haven't even told the doctors much less had any appointments  It's getting scarily close to scan time. I really hope the surgery aren't going to send me in circles this time, last time they told me flat I could only book in at 2.30 or 3pm, when I am 2 miles away from the surgery on a school run at that time every day  so I didn't even get booked in until 14 weeks.

Hope everyone is keeping well, haven't been on much. Did try to speak to BCS but she hasn't been showing online since so maybe she had forgotten who I was lol. If you've been on, BCS sorry it was me I didn't mean to freak you out :o

Welcome Emerald - I am only a first timer but please don't worry yourself, see what they say when you go, as others have said I am sure it's all ok! I am petite as well, hubby is skinny but taller than me, so we are also hoping for a small baby, but we will see...

Delain hope they can fit you in at a better time this time around, I am sure they will!

My mum is recovering well and *may* even be released this coming weekend from intensive care to recover at home, this would be such a relief. If she can start eating something tomorrow, then does well and no infections are found, they will let her go.

LABOUR vibes to FluffySox, LizBob and Emzi!
