Here is a pic of my gorgeous girl (not that I'm biased or anything) fast asleep on daddy. :happylove
I'll do a birth story when I get some time, although there are bits I don't remember due to a combo of gas and air and diamorphine!
Labour vibes to the boldies.
Just wanted to say biggest congrats Garnett, shes beautiful x0 -
Twilight I totally agree with Pigpen on the mattresses sprung ones are far better and more comfortable for baby.
. Amazon and eBay are always worth having a look on for good prices
With carseats we thought we were putting our little guy forward facing a bit early at 12 months. Our boy was and still is unusually strong with really good muscle tone and could walk and had been able to sit up completely unsupported for long periods of time by this point.....and had also screamed blue murder every single time that he had been put in the car rear facing quite literally from his first journey in one!0 -
Congrats GarnetLady-Im scared incase I go early now, Im so not organised, lol. My mum brought the carrycot over last night ( we are using as moses basket) and we got given a stand for free but much to my dissapointment it doesnt fit
Have literaly searched the internet all day looking for something that will take the Quinny Dreami carrycot and it looks like John Lewis is the only place that does a big enough stand. So its £30 I need to spend that I thought I wouldnt need to lol Will need to wait till pay day now. Which scarily is my last "normal" pay  Ying and yang tho as MIL suprised us with loads of nappies she had been saving up , so between my mum , me and MIL we have enough nappies to stock boots.
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Mine has always hated the car seat and this ime.. not a peep.. even when we stopped so I could nip in boots.. she is not squiashed and she can see clearly out of the window and was absolutely delighted she could see the others in the back seats which she never could before..
Baby bedding arrived and if gorgeous.. just need to sort chests of drawers and spend a million quids decorating so we have room for it!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Hi LabLover
You could wait a bit to see if you really do need a stand for the carrycot rather than shell out the 30 quid now.
I used a moses basket for both of my children and never had a stand - would either place it in the cot or on steady surface.
This time round I have a stand but only cos it came with the basket - I would not have brought one specifically.0 -
I like that car seat pigpen

I had thought about just waiting Gbaby but my OH likes everything to have a place. He hates things just lying around. After my aunt had been on Sunday dropping off baby gym and carrier he was about pulling his hair out because I left them out (was getting myself all excited ,lol) and then he started "making " room for things because the house looked like "steptoes yard" lolThanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Lablover both of my boys arrived early and found me in a state of chaos as I had nothing properly organized if it happens family and friends all rally round and get everything organized before you leave hospital so don't panic too much
......if it helps any I made a point of being more organized this time so that I would for once I be ready which seems to have done the trick as this baby seems to be quite happy where she is for now.
Pigpen your little one looks so happy in that seat!. I think the actual problem for our little guy is that he doesn't like traveling backwards as he reacts the same way on trains too
. Which I totally relate to as it makes me nauseous too.
