Just got my appointments through for Friday .... and as well as the growth scan I knew I was having, they've also booked me in for a doppler flow study - which I assume is related to the antibodies, but wasn't discussed with me or explained to me so am unsure what they will do. Pigpen, have you had to have one of these with your antibody issues?

These are routinely done with scans here so wouldn't be an issue.. I don't do appointments unless I feel a need so won't be having anything.

They do want me to have 4 weekly bloods and scans and urine samples done though so I guess it would be incorporated into those..

It is checking the level of O2 getting to baby so not a bad thing :D

Sorry just saw that too MrsS I have that done every scan too where they check blood flow through the placenta it is apparently to monitor for placental abruption which I am in higher risk group for but it is nothing to be at all worried about. :D

Thanks Pigpen .... just puzzled me as to what it was for as my consultant never mentioned doing one last week when I saw her. I'm more than happy for them to do it, I think knowing everything is ok in there will help settle my worries :o

Ah ... I wonder then if that is part of the reason they want me to have it done - make sure the placenta is as it should be, as there is every chance that my rhesus antibodies formed during a silent bleed internally before my anti-D injection. I won't worry about it, just found it strange seeing it on the appointment letter when it wasn't mentioned last week. I guess she probably thought whilst they've got me in for a growth scan they may as well check everything out.

We're all doing well here thanks. I'm recovering slowly but surely.

Here is a pic of my gorgeous girl (not that I'm biased or anything :p ) fast asleep on daddy. :happylove

I'll do a birth story when I get some time, although there are bits I don't remember due to a combo of gas and air and diamorphine!

    Labour vibes to the boldies.
 Mummy to an amazing little girl

    Awww she's gorgeous Garnetlady!

Thanks for all the suggestions re the crib. I'm watching one on ebay that's local collection from the next town over. KM - never heard of Kiddies Kingdom but the cribs look so lovely! Thanks. I'm a bit nervous about buying anything big for the baby yet as I'm only 17+4 - am I just being paranoid??!
Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!

GarnetLady she is absolutely gorgeous! :D

Kandboys I had never heard of them either but had seen posters on mse saying that they were reliable. :D. I didn't buy anything until 23 weeks though I had completed my shopping list long before then! :rotfl:

Lovely pic GARNETLADY, she looks well content in your arms!

Had a MW appointment today and apparently we're not having an overly large baby (Measures just under 34cm at 34 weeks) so my OH is now convinced she won't come too early and is a bit more relaxed about the birth! Seems little one has been doing her somersaults and is now no longer breached. Still time for her to move, but midwife seems to think she's found herself a good head down position and will more than likely stay there until birth. 41 days to go!! Can't wait.

Glad things seem ok at your appointment koala although I've no idea what those results mean.

    Enjoy your holiday missyy.

MrsS - no idea about the appointments but hope you're feeling ok after baby shifting about.

Gorgeous girl garnetlady. Thanks for sharing :)

Pigpen - glad you managed to get squeaks seat. Is it rear facing? Which one? My friend is talking about buying her boy a new forward facing seat at 8/9 months so I can have her cabriofix! I tried to say he should stay in it as long as possible, preferably up to 12-15 months and said I've been offered another infant seat by a family member (not true but don't want to be a factor in her buying a new seat) but she wouldn't listen. I've seen your thoughts on seats so knew you'd appreciate my concerns.

Anyone have any thoughts on mattresses? I have a smallish cot (120x60cm). Wondering what the benefits of different mattresses are or if it makes little difference for the time he'll be using it.

Sorry if I've missed anyone's news. Only so much space in my brain to remember back.

we got besafe izi x3.. isofix version but they do a selt belt one too.

Mattressess... I ony would use a sprung one.. the foam ones imprint with their body shape so lack support and they get stuck in them.. like sleeping on a beanbag!!

I'll get another pic when she goes in the car and is adjusted... it is now installed :D

I'd thank her for the very generous offer but say I already bought one.. or that I wanted a new one or hubby said you have to have a new one!!!
