Galvaniser- My stepdaughter thinks she's going to help with night feeds as well, the one night she's here. It hasn't really hit in with her yet- she's 10- that it's going to be a loud screamy thing, and not the cute (She thinks so, I think they're evil) Baby Born thing she's imagining in her mind..... She's very excited, but the reality of it will hit in and I'll see how she copes. :)

Fantafan- Gorgeous, congratulations on Myles. You're right- he does look perfect! Fanta, it's not insensitive at all. We had a chance at two, but we're still lucky!

lol! my DD is a big baby born fan - she is 7 so we have quite a gap
I think she may be wishing that her sister was a dolly after a couple of weeks - who knows though she may turn out to be a useful helper ;)

    Hello LabLover and Pigpen :D

LabLover - cramp - yes often get this on waking in the morning - not pleasant - I try and remember not to automatically stretch but sometimes I find and jump out of bed as quickly as I can manage to put weight on my foot.

My bump is the most uncomfortable of my 3 pregnancies so far :(
I don't know if it's the way I'm carrrying this time (all up front) or the fact that my muscles don't hold as well (or combination) but the pressure down below is awful and her movements feel like somebody twisting a knife - nevermind not long now!

Gbaby , my bump is low and I feel kicks etc in my lady bits , and its starting to get heavy. But this is my first so nothing to compare it to. As you say not long now though. Im so excited , i got a really fancy baby carrier at the weekend , its from mamas and papas , it retails at £100 ,my aunty bought me it .Told her off for spending as much. It can be used untill bubs is five though, lol Anyhoo me and my sister were playing with it all day Saturday.Get my pram next week to play with aswell. I want a good practise of everything because it will be much harder trying to figure out how it works with a baby in it , lol
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!
Gorgeous baby boy born 7/7/11 :D

Lirin – So sorry about the twin L Yes you’re right to be thankful for a healthy baby but it’s still sad.
    !
Debs – My, you’ve been in a thrifty frenzy but sounds like you have some good buys.
Happy birthday bella. Hope you were spoilt.
I’m 25 weeks in a few days and like you both, feel it’s a bit of a drag at the moment and has been for the past 3-4 weeks. September seems so far away but I’m growing fast and the baby and pregnancy take up a lot of my thinking time. I feel tired a lot and often get quite stiff in my back and hips which makes me wonder how I’ll ever make it through another 15+ weeks. It’s not all bad though, some days I don’t feel so moany and I’m enjoying feeling all the wriggles (mid morning when sitting at my desk is the most active time). I don’t think it helps that the antenatal appointments really slow down at this time, I haven’t seen the midwife since 15 weeks (!) although my next appointment is this week and then they are every 3 weeks so I hope things pick up a bit psychologically.
    !
Budget – I think we have about £350pcm for extras. Bills and basics like food and car running costs are covered for 12 months with OH pay+maternity pay+savings but there isn’t a lot to spare so this is for treats and socialising. Takeaways, exercise classes, baby groups, fuel for extra trips to visit family and clothes (I gave away 90% of my pre-pregnancy wardrobe because a lot of it was already too small and I knew there was next to no chance of any of it fitting in the next 12-18 months). I’m excellent at frittering money away but equally can stick to a strict budget if I need to. I’ve been saving hard for the past few months to give myself the flexibility for the first year as I just don’t know how it’s going to pan out. If I don’t need the money for day-to-day things, I certainly DO need a new bathroom so will try and save it for that.
    !
Oh fantafan, Myles is beautiful. Congratulations!well done you! I don’t normally coo over newborn photos but he is just so gorgeous.

Hi there, was on this thread a few months ago, my LO is now 4 months old, oh how time flies!!
My sis is now preggers and got some lovely maternity jeans and couldn't beleive how reasonable they were from www.clovermums.co.uk. She got a pair of jeans and legging for £25. Thought I'd share, hope you are all well. xx

Congratulations Fanta it is brilliant to hear that everything is going so well for your family! :)

GB we are the same here bought a good sized 4 bedroom to accommodate our 3 children comfortably until they choose to move onwards......got a v peculiar look from a dr though when I informed her that this was definitely our last planned child as we had run out of bedrooms. :rotfl:

I am now at 35 weeks and also getting horrible cramping and also my bump goes rigid and painful and I can't stand up straight quite a few times a day....but it will be a small price to pay if my little girl makes it to term. :o

Lirin I am really happy for you that you have a thriving baby and that your pregnancy is going well in that respect. Sorry if this comes across wrongly or not the way I meant it anyway but constant sleep deprivation has given me a very bad case of both feet in mouth disorder :o

Hi ladies. Really cute baby picture. Makes me want the next few months to speed up super quick!

After having a lovely anniversary weekend, I woke up in a happy mood on my way to work. This soon changed. Whilst I was stationary in traffic the car behind bumped into me and really jolted me forward! I've been to the doctors who felt my bump and said it felt fine but I have a really achey right shoulder, right hip and lower back pain that I haven't had before today.
What do you suggest I do?
I was thinking if it was still there in the morning I would ring up the midwife and arrange some physio.

I was so shocked after the bang that it felt like ages for my pulse to settle down. Horrible morning :(
