pixie I always used to think I wouldn't want to hold baby straight away full of gunge but when my sister's baby came out, she was relatively clean to be honest- she only really had some white stuff on her and even though it had come out of my sister's ladybits I still gave her a kiss!

Im so annoyed with OH Im making sausage and mash for tea, I told him it would be ready by 5.30 ish (he was home when I started it) literally as I started dishing it up he had to pop out and is still not back! I know it's minor but its really annoyed me that he sat on his a$$ for half an hour and went out as soon as it was ready!

And I didn't tell her I'm not having the 13 week scan since she never asked/told me.

Can I ask why you don't want the scan susan? Feel free to ignore if it's too nosey!

Seeing as forceps and ventouse are methods emplyed when the mother can't push the baby out, and the head is the thickest part of the baby... I imagine a breech baby in distress would be a straight to CS seeing as if the mother can't push the bottom out, then she's going to be in trouble with the head...
But they're also methods that can be used to speed up a delivery if it's very urgent (e.g. cord prolapse) if doing that would be quicker than doing a CS.

Can't remember who mentioned PND earlier but I am so worried about it. I also feel like a really horrible person because I'd rather have baby wiped and stuff before being handed over to me... :s I just don't like the idea of baby still covered in my insides being put near to my face. I've also always felt uneasy about the thought of a baby breastfeeding, which is why I'm bottle feeding. People keep saying 'Oh it'll be different once you've given birth because you'll love it.' They don't seem to understand that it's not based on whether I love it or not, it's just a matter of preference, I guess. I do worry though that I won't love it or I won't really want it enough, which sounds terrible, but it's something that's been bothering me. Mentioned it to MW as I have a history of depression and she reassured that someone will keep an eye on me at regular appointments afterwards if I want (my guess is it'll be my GP).
None of that makes you a horrible person. Everyone has different preferences and there aren't right or wrong answers for these things.

I don't see any particular benefit to it. If I had no idea of my dates for some reason then I would have gone for it but I know when I ovulated and don't see any other reason to have it.

I reckon we're closer than the hospital think. My original date was 9th June and as I was using CBFM I have a fair idea of when it happened :)

aw Pixie, its your baby so you do what ever you feel comfortable with. xx

i finally sorted out my life insurance today. i feel better knowing that at least the kids will have money if anything happens to us. Just need to discuss properly who would bring them up.

I have a really nice afternoon. I got talking to a girl through a netmums post I hade made. She has moved to the same town a year ago and hasnt really made friends. We got chatting and her DD is my daughters year and she has a 6 week old DD. Turns out she is from the same town im from (200 miles away) it really is a small world. She invited me for coffee and we gabbed all afternoon. I feel better having actually spent some time with someone from here and very similar to me.

Im off to have a very healthy teriaki salmon with stir fry veg and noodles.
