Is it worth buying a doppler?

I've got one, I bought it at about 11 weeks and have only this week been able to find the heartbeat - I panicked quite a lot as it took so long to find but Im glad I did buy it now as it keeps me reassured atm. If your baby is already moving though Im not sure if I'd bother but it's completely up to you - if you think it would put your mind at ease then get one.

You could be having twins
If I was it wouldn't matter not knowing until the twenty week scan.

But I did have a scan at six weeks because I was admitted to hospital with hyperemesis so I know it's not twins. (Hyperemesis can be a sign of certain complications so I considered there to be good reason for having that scan.)

Stil having BH. Every 5-10 minutes. I'm not getting my hopes up. They might go away like last time. I do feel like I need a poo when I get them though, but I know I don't need a poo IYKWIM.

DH is making a graph of them (BH, not poos) to check their frequency, standard deviation and duration.

Ooooo, here's the next one. Belly could be bounced off it's that tight.

Persuaded DH to have takeaway tonight. Question is, pizza, curry or chinese??

It sounds like you might be about ready :)
I felt like i was constantly on the toilet with dd2 when i was in 1st stages of labour, my body was clearing the poo out (tmi?).
I'd just keep going(to the loo....just i case), and don't eat too much tonight, if it is the real thing, there's a good chance you'll see whatever you eat again

Wow what a chatty lot, I've not read through all the posts so sorry if I've missed anything!

Well developed a full blown headache this afternoon and ended up really sick bah! Hey ho what can you do.

I am getting some serious BH's again, they are really uncomfortable! DH is standing laughing and saying "how funny would it be if a head popped out?" erm well not very funny at all considering I am sitting on my new sofa ;):D

Nic that's really great you have met someone you can have coffee and a good ol' chinwag with.

One thing I wanted too was DD wiped over before being handed to me but when the time came I didn't mind and she really wasn't very gooey at all.:o

re DH - if mine said that to me the word slap would be in my response!

I'd like baby wiped or covered, or laid on blanket and wrapped on me...does that make sense...I don't want too much baby goo on me!

re hospital bags...anyone taking dry shampoo, I've got long hair and if gets sweaty and mingy i won't be able to get washed and dried very well!
:heart2:Baby boy madbird arrived 15/06/11 by emergency csection weighing 9lb 13oz:eek: love him so much xx:heart2:
  • Pizza is good as it has tomatoes in it (a constant craving), curry would be nice as it might encourage eviction, but I'm a korma kinda girl, so it may not work anyway. And the chinese does a well tasty veggie 'crispy beef'. We did have stir fry yesterday though. Oooo decisions.

I imagine it would be nice if labour was so unintense that the baby just popped out but not at eleven weeks before your due date!

 no way I've not bought anything yet LOL!!

If you are having the baby wiped/wrapped before being given to you, I'd recommend discussing what else will be done as I asked for mine to be wrapped before being handed over and I regretted it as they faffed about doing weighings and stuff too before handing her over which I presume wouldn't have happened if I'd just had her straight away.
