Hmm perhaps I will have to find out before I go if they still do them. I literally have no milk to feed them. With DS1 they told me to persevere but 6 days later he had lost nearly 2lb and he was only 7lb 13oz to begin with so I got the formula down him! He's a right little piggy 6 year old now and I'm convinced its because I starved him when he was first born!

My DS2 is 5, so between 2003 when DS1 was born and 2006 when DS2 was born they had changed their policy here .... I wasn't amused during labour being told for the first time :rotfl:

I didnt know you could get slimmer ones. At my asda and boots they only have one packet of maternity towels? And they are like mattress toppers they are that big, OH compared it to a memory foam insole , lol Ive been getting lots of cramping and loads of mucas. Told midwife this morning and was expecting her to say it meant baby was on its way.Apparantly its because I done loads of walking and exercising this weekend.
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

I've got the maternity bricks for the first few days and then plan to use normal sanitary towels when the 'amount' reduces.

Maternity bricks, lol thats brilliant. I hate to rub it in because I know alot of you girls have had a horrid time , but has anyone else been the exact opposite? I was commenting to my midwife this morning that I feel really well and healthy and she said that happens to some people.I honestly havent felt better, lol Wonder if I will go back to a grumpy ,sour faced hypocondriac as soon as bubs is out ?

Dont worry missymoo , some people dont even really use them. SIL had what she called a heavy period for 3 days , then just spotting for another five. My medical record is about 6 inches thick and most of it is "down below " and fertility issues, so I dont expect to have it as easy as SIL after birth

No don't worry missymoo everyone is different. Although I think it's good to hear different people's stories. After my c-section I didn't use a lot of pads but it made up for it when I had my first period!! Horrible!
