Annoying that you both put in all that time & effort & things have gone backwards rather than improving & bringing you closer together. Do you think he will be easier to live with once baby arrives? Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!
Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:0 -
Apricot- Im starting to assemble the hospital bag , I got 2 night dresses from primark and one pair of bottoms that match the two tops. Have an old longline vest for if I go in the pool (midwife advised against bikini top)Have about 20 maternity pads and about 80 breast pads, got my dry shampoo so I can look fresh for photos. Bought some pants in a bigger size at primark and will buy some disposable nicks as well. Havent packed mini-me's bag yet. Itl start me off in tears ,lol. Im going to miss being pregnant so much. Ive enjoyed the whole process , lol
Lovely pics EA and I think teenie( my brain is mush) lol.Welcome to all the newbies xxxx
Hi Lablover sorry you had a rubbish hol!
I have so far bought 3 night dresses and will throw in a pair of black pj bottoms and a vest is a good idea too - I was going to buy a tankini top but a vest will do. I saw a fab list somewhere for the hospital bag but can't blooming remember where now!
80 breast pads? Please tell me I won't need that many in hospital? :rotfl:
I need to buy a bag first anyway - that is my mission - matching luggage for me and the little one!:D
:grouphug: alwayspuzzled hope your OH stops being an idiot!

Hi to all newbies...
Its never too early... or too late (maybe) to join us but sometimes this big thread does move very quickly and the other threads are there to help with specific early and middle trimester concerns... Post us your (or OH's) due dates and we'll get you on the list asap!
Will read back in a bit but am spending lunchtime looking for baby clothes for my cousins who have had their twins a little early... Am scouting out for specialist neonatal/premature clothes as they're only 33 weeks and tiny (boy is 2lb and girl is 3lb)... I haven't asked yet which is older but I guess the sister is going to be the boss for a bit x
xx much hugs FGteam yellow
Can't wait to meet you now baby!0 -

No he's never been easy to live with but I guess I probably deal with it better normally. I've also got to the point where I've got to consider how his behaviour is going to effect the boys as my oldest is 12 now and starting to show teenage traits, he does drive me round the twist sometimes but OH just overreacts and it seems to me he behaves worse than the 12 yr old eg I said something OH didn't like at dinner last night so he got up without a word walked out and went to bed???? This was at 7.30 and bare in mind he's type 1 diabetic and had no dinner and no insulin so will have felt really ill all day (and I spent all eveing and night worring about hypos) and will now be in a foul mood tonight so we will all have to walk on eggshells.
(ps I could understand if I'd said something out of order but I only commented that ds2 was only asking if he was meant 2 be haveing 2 waffles because last week OH told them both off for being greedy and not considering everyone else)0 -
Apricot theres a good hospital bag list on the EDD list
Hospital Bag list here (tried a c&P hope it worked)
and no you shouldn't need 80 pads just for the hospital, but it is easier to have too many than not enough, trying to make them last might be very mse but its not very pleasent:eek: (been there done that with ds1 where I had FAR too much milk (poor child used to get jetted in the face) and went out for the day and ran out - yuk:rotfl:)0 -
Lol dont think I will put all 80 in my bag.But thats all ive bought total, and Ive only bought 20 maternity pads so if I run out I can send OH to asda , or brave it out with a new born  I bought an overnight bag, didnt want something huge otherwise I would fill it to the top, mine is pink with little green flower things and tan handles and lovely designer style padlock on the front. Mini-me's changing bag is green and pink check , so will match my bag. Am I right in thinking that you pack babies luggage in its changing bag? Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

I didn't take any breastpads to hospital.. I didn't need any until my milk came in.. and about 4-6 a day then was more than enough. Taking 80 is way beyond excessive.. I'd take no more than about 10 and if you need more get OH to bring some in!
I had a tiny bag with a couple of pads, a nightie, the camera, one outfit for baby and a towel and my toiletries.. then I had another bag with a couple of days worth of stuff for baby and for me and my juice.. I drank my juice and the rest was left in the bag as I went home next day.. are you all planning staying a week?.. they kick you out ASAP
I was home 26 hours after a section.. don't count on staying unless you want the lack of sleep!
Surely dad will be visiting and can pop extra bits in if you need them?LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Afternoon all. Not much happening here with me. I'll be 34 weeks on Friday and off to Cornwall on Saturday for a week with the extended family of me, DD, DH, my parents and my DH's parents!! Still haven't packed my hospital back although I have thought abaout it, Definitely top of the list for when I return. I have started a pile of things for the bag in the spare room in preparation. I do have to wait for the suitcase from my hols though to pack everything in.
After reading back about the knitting topic, my Mum knitted a lot and is still knitting for DD. Hope our new addition likes wearing slightly girly items of knitwear although some are more unisex so might be able to make do. We also had blankets knitted and crocheted for us by family and friends which were very gratefully received expecially when you think how much time and effort goes into them.
Our DD is having her first full day at nursery today too so can't wait to go and collect her later to see how she's got on. They've not rung for me to fetch her so she must be doing OK!
Hope everyone is as well as they can be. Labour vibes to those who need them too!!
