Just watched OBEM, makes me so emotional, can't wait for my baby now. Definately want to put on my birth polan NO FORCEPS! Did you see how hard they were pulling that baby out?Have been thinking about hiring/buying a tens machine, as although i want a water birth, there is a chance that i won't get one, with their only being 1 pool at the hospital. Someone posted a link on the old thread for hiring at a cost of about £20, anyone know which company it was? Or can anyone recomment where to buy one at a good price, will go have a look on ebay now.
I posted this one? http://www.maternitytens.com/ which is £20 if the order is plaxced before 20th February.0 -

Is that Company Paternity Leave? As with the Ordinary leave (with the Statutory Paternity Pay) you can't take 2 seperate weeks, you can only take one week in total or two weeks togather, not two seperate weeks. The company won't be able to pay 2 seperate weeks of SPP but if it's company paternity leave and pay they can do what they like there.
I'm not sure, nothing is done 'officially' at that place anyway. He just asked his boss how much paternity leave he was entitled to and he said 2 weeks, he asked if he could split them and was told yes. He'll prob still get full pay for them two weeks tbh so I don't think it makes a difference. I literally put my hand in front of my face and watched through my fingers. did you see the size of the forceps?
If (god forbid) I need them I want them just to get on with it and not be waving them about in front of me.0 -

:rotfl:annibee I remember my little sister's baby monitor used to pick up the conversations of the people in the house behind us - we would have it glued to our ears if they were arguing!
its why I dont talk on ds's one i turn it off as soon as i go in the room - also because someone I knew was telling me how they were robbed because someone overheard them discussing their holiday plans on the monitor!! - now Im already paranoid but that just made it worse lolI, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

I've heard that some neighbours have been able to see the baby (and whatever else is going on in the room) on their portable tellys with the baby video monitors! So be warned if you have one of them, turn it off so old Mrs Smith doesn't get a nasty shock!

I had a ventouse delivery with baby #1 .... it was ok, but she did have a funny shaped head for a few hours after where the suction cup was attached. I would rather have had the ventouse than forceps or section!Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015
