My back is agony!!! i want it to drop off!.. eek.. time is ticking..
I am hopng to persuade myself to go to bed early tonight I am exhausted! My hernia is so incredibly sore and I am sure is getting bigger.. I thought it would be less of a problem once the baby grew and pushed behind my navel but it just seems to be making it worse at the moment. It is however a very slothlike baby.. it gives a couple of half hearted feeble kicks a few times a day and maybe a bit of a shuffle and doesn't move the rest of the time.. Though Squeak does like to give the poor thing a kicking.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Big congrats Zebusi and Nic and lovely names - very positive Nic, hopefully something we can aspire to!
PigPen hope your back is better - is there anything you can apply locally/topically or a nice bath if OH will help out with the kids/dinner?
I second an early night - barely slept last nigfht with stress, was worrying about everything. To the point I was even worrying about Will & Kate and how their first few years of marriage would go :rotfl:
Had my 28 week midwife app today, she said baby is growing well at 29cm. Asked about my sore 'patch' and she was lovely and had a look, said all looks like it's healing and to check with doc if it came back at all. Such a relief, poor lady gets all the good jobs eh...
Work improved mildly today but I do have a boss who sees shouting as the only way to resolve things with anyone, bullying tactic and explosive, then once things are sorted he pretends it's all blown over and moves on. Grr. Hopefully after this week I can have a word with him to say that at 7 months pregnant shouting is particularly a no go as I need to be calm:):)

I slept on the sofa.. I am sick of being woken by the baby constantly so i slept downstairs after she woke and started screaming the second I got in bed

I'd not stand for someone shouting at me ever pregnant or not how dare he!!
I'd give him a right tongue lashing.. cheeky git.. shouting is a sign he lacks control and needs to gain control by bullying.. not a good example nor a good way to gain respect! .. just slap him right across the face! lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Morning All,
Hope you all had a better nights sleep than me, OH's alarm went off at 3.30am, instead of going straight to work he decided to try and catch the seagull that hangs out in our front garden - it cant fly and just sits there staring through the lounge window at us! After about half an hour he gave up and went to work but i couldnt get back to sleep, am shattered already - think a little siesta might be in order later!!
Finally gtting used to calling peanut 'she', although after 5 months of being called peanut we are struggling to think of any names!!
Hope you all have a chilled and day, labour vibes to those that want them xxDue 26th July, team yellow0 -

Thanks, it's difficult for me as we're a small company andit's the way he is, I've put up with it for 4 years and just want to get through the next 7 weeks now as he won't change I am sure, he never asks how I'm feeling and rarely how pregnancy is going in general but does briefly when I have come back from an appointment
Thing is, he also keeps adding to my plate rather than easing things for me towards maternity leave, I think he's panicking as wants those items to be sorted before I go - I am very detailed focused and too good at keeping him organised
Any tips for coping mechanisms for these 7 weeks much appreciated :T
Can relate on the easy meals - my lentil/rice casserole from Monday lasted til last night, easy peasy...
Sorry Missy re: sleep - I can relate as have been up since 4:30 this morning, still worrying about work I think!:):)

Congrats Zebusi and Nic!
I'm big. It's not exaggerating, or anything else- I am big. I'm glad I know it's twins now, otherwise I'd be very worried! Was congratulated in a shop by a stranger on my pregnancy- she thought I was 4-5 months along?
I've given up looking longingly at my skintight jeans now- they're in a box. Along with my nice tops, corsets and underwear....Comfy trousers I would never have worn outside the house- now standard issue. New underwear bought in M&S! Bought XL jogging bottoms from Gap last night, in the mens section- they're not a bad fit now!
Cripes, if I already resemble the Michelin man at 10 weeks- what on earth am I going to look like in a month, let alone near the end?:shocked::shocked:0 -
Morning all hope you are ok. Yesterday at about 3am I went down with a horrible sicky bug and couldn't even keep fluids down. Had the runs too. Stopped being sick at around 8pm last night but now I'm worried that the baby will be ok. I know they take the nutrients from you but am worried the bug may have been passed onto him/her?Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0

Morning all
Still no sleep in this house, for me anyway, but at least DH slept so I got to lie quietly and think about wallpaper lol!
Bob has moved on from little wiggles to full blown ninja attacksmade me jump feet the first time but now I'm absolutely loving it!
For those ladies with SPD or PGP or whatever its called, has anyone got any top tips for managing it or easing it at all? I'm getting most of the pain in my right hip and around my coccyxs so any position apart from lying on my left side is horrible!Any tips for coping mechanisms for these 7 weeks much appreciated :T
Earplugs?
Off to the docs AGAIN this morning, asthma check and more blood tests. My sister reckons I'm keeping the NHS in business at the mo lol
Hope everyone is well, hugs all round and labour vibes to those who want/need them0 -
Morning All!
Am in work, trying to write a manual for doing my job. It's quite simple really but seeing as my boss doesn't actually know what I do, I'd rather have every little thing written down than have her constantly ringing me when I go on ML!
sparkle what date are you planning on finishing work? I was planning on 1st July being my last day (Friday) but am now thinking I might want to be even earlier - apart from anything my replacement starts on Monday and once I've taught her what she needs to know Im not going to have anything to do every day other than supervise her. I work in construction so things are slow at the moment anyway!
kandboys I had a bug before xmas and spoke to NHS direct who told me the only risk to baby is dehydration and to go to hospital if I was sick more than 6 times in 24 hours. If the vomitting has stopped now im sure bubs will be fine!
Winnie in Pooh my advice would be to tell your MW asap and get a physio appointment! I'v been having pain since about 15 weeks and I mentioned it at my 16 week appointment but said it was nothing too bad, now it's horrendous and can be really difficult to even get out of bed to go to the loo! Im still waiting for a physio referral now but am thinking if I had mentioned it earlier maybe the pain wouldn't have escalated as much!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -

Every time he starts shouting walk away.. say you do not come to work to be verbally abused and when he can speak to you in a decent tone you will stay and listen.. if you don't challenge him he will carry on and never stop.
If he tries giving you more to do say you won't be able to get it done as you have so much else he has dumped on you so could he please do it himself or give it to someone else or take one of your other tasks and reallocate it.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
