Always puzzled-
90/60 is textbook low, I'm told. I know they seem to think the first, higher number dropping as worse than the second. I do know a handy way I check- if the first number drops to around 80, your radial (wrist) pulse will start to feel very faint. It's a good indicator for me to guess in advance if I'm going to feel dizzy.0 -
Congrats Missy on team pink - the scan was amazing wasn't it!!
I just e-mailed a local nursery for an idea of childcare costs - full time per month it'll be £1,187!!! That's more than our mortgage!!

Congratulations on Team Pink Missy!
Ddebs - does your employer do the childcare vouchers? I dont understand them at all but understand they make it work out slightly cheaper.:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
Oh.. I was all well behaved and went for the bloods this morning (I did however decline doppler, urine, and bp
).. simply because if I think we need to know if the antibodies are at a level which might compromise the baby.. I compained about the scan and said it should have been rebooked etc.. They asked if I still wanted the quad test done and I said is there an point without the nuchal measurement to compare it with and she said no, none at all.. but.. she did say if I wanted an amnio they woud do it.. let's think about this.. a scan and a blood test compared to an invasive procedure which may cause miscarriage.. what do you think?
Apparently in addition to my 4 weekly bloods I am supposed to have 4 weekly urine sample as well.. new to me!.. apparently because my kidneys were so bad last time they want to keep a check on them this time... I did say well maybe they should have actually listened when I said there was a problem last time instead of waiting a year to say I was right!! stupid stupid stupid people!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Have to share ....
Youngest son (5) has just come home from school with a 'present' for me. He says 'I've made you a bin for the living room' and produces me a rice crispie box

Eeek that's a lotI started looking into nursery costs this week. Looks like it'll be about £800 where we are (Cheshire) for full time. Ideally I'd like to only work 4 days a week though (well 3 ideally but I don't think that's going to be realistic). Its frightening isn't it? Our mortgage is hoooooge too! Oh well, no more holidays for us then *sigh*.
Congrats on Team Pink Missyy :jLeo James arrived 7 days late on 26th August 2011 by emergency CS :j Such a cheeky chappy now :T0 -

. I am not sure whether to wish you full strength labour vibes now or after you collect your new car as I wasn't sure if you need the new one to get your little one home safely after delivery?
Thanks hun, we have the old cars still, but would be good if we could pick up the new car Friday before he comes  Will take any labour vibes you have though pleaseddebski_us wrote: »I just e-mailed a local nursery for an idea of childcare costs - full time per month it'll be £1,187!!! Blimey, that's a lot! Over what I used to be paid working full time. I am hoping to be self employed and work from home once bubs is in a routine. Certainly wouldn't be worth me working full time and having bubs in care if that's what it costs!
Congats Missy on Team Pink, and Lirin on the twins! Hope all goes well x
Good luck to Teenie for today, hope you're soon going to be having mummy cuddles0 -
Childcare costs are scary aren't they? That's one of the reasons why we decided to have a baby now rather than wait a year or 2. OH is a student, but studies from home through OU (at the rate of a full time student, 120 CAT points per year) so he doubles up as a SAHD and as such we have no childcare costs whilst I go to work.
I'm thinking of asking to go back to work term time only afterwards, so I will always have the school holidays off with the kids, as that will be expensive in the future when we are both working.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Child care costs are terrifying!
. Having 2 in full time nursery and 1 in pre/after school care would have added up to very close to my take home pay which is why I am stopping working and will stay at home this time round.
. Thankfully we are in a position where we can afford to do this as we are mortgage free and have no major credit but I think
It will be harder to adapt to than I might like at first0 -
Ouch! That's a lot ddebski. My SIL lives about 10 miles away and pays £800 a month so I'm guessing about the same here. I remember a friend of mine being quoted £1500 a month for her little ones. Don't think she earned that so there really was no point!
Great news on all the scans :T I just had to find out the gender buy must admit I'm slightly envious of those of you in team yellow.0
