I have noticed that Teenie has not posted at all today which am hoping means that she got her wish of a natural labour rather than a planned induction.0

That's great Winnie in Pooh! Are you going to find out? I still can't make up my mind. It was lovely in the delivery room being told what they were but want to experience knowing if that makes sense!
It makes perfect sense! I think we'll have to try to find out for DH's peace of mind but secretly I've got my fingers crossed that baby has its legs crossed :rotfl:0 -
Congrats on the twins Lirin, how lovely (and scary:D). If you don't mind me asking how low does blood pressure have to be to be a problem. They've always made me laugh by complimenting me on having "lovely low blood pressure" like it was something I could control:rotfl:0

Re finding out the gender:
#1 I found out the sex, so I could get organised
#2 I had everything left from #1 (bought neutral equipment even knowing sex) so we had a surprise
#3 as above - had a surprise
#4 had nothing left from the other 3, and with SPD severely restricting my mobility we decided to find out the sex so we could get organised with online shopping and have everything here ready for baby coming home
I much prefer having surprises in the delivery room, but I don't think I could have settled this time not knowing what we were having. I now have a nursery ready and first clothes ready so even if my SPD hasn't gone after birth, I don't have to worry about going shopping for stuff.
Lirin, congrats on the twins. My cousin has just found out she is expecting twins, and she still hasn't got over the shock.

I had low blood pressure with #1 - usually around 90/60. I fainted quite a lot, including going for the tour of the labour ward. Came round and was laid on a bed up there with a midwife and for one split second had a real panic!!! :rotfl:
My BP has never been that low with any of the others though.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Hmm it's a tricky one. I might just wait until the day and ask the sonographer if she can tell. If she can't be sure then I might just leave it and wait until D-Day!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0

Always puzzled,
My blood pressure normally rests on 90/60. That's pretty much the textbook indicator for low blood pressure. If the top number is lower than 90, it's considered quite low. If bottom number falls below 60, again, quite low. My blood pressure today is 80/50.Doesn't affect me much, barring sore head, fainting, swooning at people's feet- everyone's used to it now. It's fairly easily managed as long as you're careful.
With high blood pressure, it can be lowered by diet, exercise, stopping smokin etc, but there's little can be done for low blood pressure to raise it. Plenty of water, watch standing and sitting- do it slowly- and the same as a diabetic, snacking is better than full meals. Keep hydrated, and exercise regularly.
I've always had low blood pressure.0 -
My 20 week scan has been done each time by a consultant is that unusual?0
-
Mine has always been the same as yours Lirin....except for the last 3 weeks where it has kept creeping up to where it was at 122/72 which for most would be considered a perfectly healthy reading but in my case is causing concern as it is so different from my historical norm

Have been waiting for an extra offer to come along so we're going to bite the bullet at the weekend - can't wait! Did you go for the Sola too? (Oh, and congrats on 3rd tri - scary!!
)
Yes we went for the sola, I lurve it. It's so easy to fold down and turn the seat around and things compared to some others we looked at. I have a fiesta and it fits really well in the boot & will leave room for some shopping too!Congrats to all new mums. Haven't been on the thread in a couple of days, so a little behind.DP, don't worry, it won't be much longer.
Had my first scan today. Can't stop shaking actually. It shows twins. Obviously thrilled, and tbh, more than a little apprehensive.... Over a double first labour, where on earth I'll put them- so many questions all going through my head.
The doctor was very quick to congratulate us, and just as quick to gently tell us to try not and get our hopes up. She said this early, one could be absorbed, die- any number of things, and it has happened where twins show in the first scan and don't in later ones. She also said the risk of bleed-out or miscarriage is higher now, and could be complicated by my blood pressure being so low. On the plus side, I'll probably get hospital appointments quicker.....
There's no real history of twins, barring my husbands uncle having two sets! I think I'll be excited later- right now I'm just trying to stop shaking- all we hoped for was everything looking healthy. This is so much more.
Sorry, I'm rambling now, thoughts just won't settle at the moment!
:jWow for twins - I always wanted twins. One of each preferably but didn't work out that way! Hope everything goes fantastically in your pregnancy!
Kandboys we found out. Im far too impatient not to find out plus it makes the whole buying things in preparation easier. I was planning on not telling the rest of the family until the birth but that went out the window with my big mouth OH
:grouphug: for you digital I really don't want to go overdue - sending you big labour vibes!
