Congratulations to the new mummies! Gorgeous names and pics too :D!

Good luck to those with scans and labour vibes to those who want/need them!

Just wondering whether I should try to change the date of my anomaly scan because I'll be almost 23 weeks at my current appointment? Does it matter if its done later than 20 weeks?

Glad to hear that you are having a run of good fortune just now Bella and hope you enjoy every minute of it. :D

Forgot to say that I was told that baby is properly head down yesterday only amongst everything else that was going on I forgot to ask what exactly this meant and whether it was different at all from just being head down and if that is what is causing the discomfort that I am experiencing constantly? :o. So if anybody knows the answer can you please tell me? :)

Not really sure - do they mean that the head is engaged? Although I understand baby can engage and unengage several times if it's not your first pregnancy.

Winnie that does seem very late for your scan so maybe changing it to an earlier one if at all possible especially if you feel that the scan results would have any bearing on your wish to continue the pregnancy would be a better plan. Sorry I do not mean to come across as blunt or insensitive but that should be your deciding factor. :o.

I really am not sure Apricot and I now feel like a complete idiot for not having the sense to ask! :(. I was just a bit thrown by the potential long term risk to my sight and the amount of doctors who all wanted the apparently probably once in a lifetime opportunity to see it first hand! Not that I minded them looking as I would much prefer that they had seen it and knew for definite what they are dealing with should they come across it again in the future. :o.

I have never had a baby engage before though and have no idea what it feels like :o

Thanks Koala :) will have a chat with DH later and go from there. I guess it was scheduled using my dates from booking in rather than the accurate dates from my 12 week scan which put me two weeks ahead from where we thought!

I seem to remember getting more uncomfortable when DS went head down. I think it just means that baby is moving into position :) I also remember getting kicked in the ribs alot at this point too :D

    Morning ladies

Back from the scan - baby is present and well. All bits are growing as they should be - current weight is 12oz and all measurements are around average - although the head is on the larger side of average -. His head is measuring almost a week bigger than he is!!

We'reTEAM YELLOW although DH is 90% sure he "saw something" - I think it's wishful thinking on his behalf as I asked the sonographer if she knew from what she'd seen and she said she didn't look (only look if we ask her too).

The scan photo is quite blurry, but I'll try to upload it at lunchtime.

Going to order our pram at the weekend as M&P are doing 10% off on top of the £50 off if you buy pram and car seat! Exciting times!

Labour vibes to DP - everything crossed for Teenie today.

Congrats on the safe arrival of Ethan, Vroom.

    Laters

    xDx

How many of you found out what you were having at your 20 week scans? I have mine 5 weeks today and am in two minds whether to find out or not. With our boys, we had surprises and, as this is our last one, I'm wondering whether to do it slightly differently and find out. I don't really mind what we have especially after last week when I spent the day in the Early Pregnancy Unit after some bleeding. Will just be happy if he/she is healthy really
