Congratulations VB - so glad it finally happened for you hun :j
Congrats Apricot on reaching 3rd Tri
Sorry to hear about the diabetes, BCS. Hopefully it's just gestational. Surprised they didn't give you any more info on what you should and shouldn't be eating, sounds very slack.
Great news on the scan DebsObviously you're expecting an Einstein, that's why their head is a bit bigger
Looking forward to the pic.
I'm a day overdue now, and it's weird, but I feel like I shouldn't be on here anymoreEven though I am still pregnant. Such an anticlimax reaching your due date and then not having baby, though I knew I'd go over. Going to discuss a sweep with MW on Thursday. Just wanna meet my little one now

Congrats to all new mums. Haven't been on the thread in a couple of days, so a little behind.
DP, don't worry, it won't be much longer.
Had my first scan today. Can't stop shaking actually. It shows twins. Obviously thrilled, and tbh, more than a little apprehensive.... Over a double first labour, where on earth I'll put them- so many questions all going through my head.
The doctor was very quick to congratulate us, and just as quick to gently tell us to try not and get our hopes up. She said this early, one could be absorbed, die- any number of things, and it has happened where twins show in the first scan and don't in later ones. She also said the risk of bleed-out or miscarriage is higher now, and could be complicated by my blood pressure being so low. On the plus side, I'll probably get hospital appointments quicker.....
There's no real history of twins, barring my husbands uncle having two sets! I think I'll be excited later- right now I'm just trying to stop shaking- all we hoped for was everything looking healthy. This is so much more.
Sorry, I'm rambling now, thoughts just won't settle at the moment!0 -
Kandboys I found out at my scans as quite simply I am too mosey and probably would not have made it through the remainder of the pregnancies with my sanity intact if they didn't tell me! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0

Lirin: congrats on your twins and I really hope all works out for you!
koalamummy: Is it you that is having a girl after 2 boys? I can't imagine a girl now after my boys and although I just want the baby to be healthy, a little girl would be wonderful!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -

Congrats Lirin - can't imagine what's it like though - I'm worrying about one!
Apricot - we're going for the Sola I think, as long as it's fits in the boot of our cars (VW Polo and Peugeot 206). Have been waiting for an extra offer to come along so we're going to bite the bullet at the weekend - can't wait! Did you go for the Sola too? (Oh, and congrats on 3rd tri - scary!!)
xDxFear is temporary, regret is forever.....:happyhear Baby girl born 27th September - 10 days late!! :happyhear0 -
Digital I hope whatever time you have left goes very quickly for you.
. I am not sure whether to wish you full strength labour vibes now or after you collect your new car as I wasn't sure if you need the new one to get your little one home safely after delivery?
Kandboys I have two boys already who are both amazing. But this time round we are having a girl which will be a bit of a learning curve for us as we are old hands at doing boy stuff like football and car racing but a bit unsure of girl stuff especially as I was never a girly girl at all and husband is an only child. However we will both learn to love Barbie and glitter and everything girly so long as she arrives safe and well.

Congrats Lirin
I have twins (they are now seven lol) but if you have any questions about twin pregnancy please feel free to ask :j
ETA: You'll get a lot more scans, one every week towards the end (or I did)
I've always had low blood pressure and my twin pregnancy was fine!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Apparently it doesn't make any difference but you can call and ask them to change it to a sooner date... if they want a reason you can always say you assumed you'd have had the scan by then and booked a holiday for that week
