Caelshorn if your curtain pole is still up on the wall stick some blankets or sheets over it it may look odd from outside but it will dull the early morning light enough for you to get a bit of extra sleep :D

I think panic is a normal part of pregnancy unfortunately or at least it always has been for me anyway :o. On that front I have always taken two useful pieces of advice from my Dad first being that if nobody is going to die through it not being done until tomorrow then leave it and do it tomorrow and secondly and most importantly give yourself peace which has always been his way of saying that it is not important enough to get stressed about. :D.

Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow!!!

When you die you get covered in dust.. so cleaning is futile and fretting and biting your nails doesn't work.. your nails carry on growing for 3 days after death.. they still get the last laugh!

I have dust and inch long nails :p

Morning ladies! Sorry its been a while, its been a little umm..busy!

    2n18138.png
I've posted the birth story here (sorry don't know how to do the other linky thing)https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1714725

Congrats to all new babies, and labour vibes to all boldies (VB, Cutterby, Teenie &Nic).

Loving being a mummy, just can't stop looking at her and wondering how we made something so beautiful :o had a really good go at b-feeding but unfortunately it hasn't worked for us, having said that, Eloise is doing well on f-feed (and starting to sleep for a good 3/4 hours at a time). Recovery wise, SPD symptoms are nearly gone (woohoo!), went for a 3 mile walk yesterday and no aches or pains today (its been a while since that last happened!), just a few stretch marks (where my belly button piercing used to be-boo!) and despite putting on nearly 2.5 stone, I'm only 4lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight, not sure how that happened!

EA-Are you still having yours at QA? Even though I was planning on having her at the midwife led unit, this didn't happen but I was REALLY impressed with QA, it was alot less stressful having her there than I initially thought!

Ooh for those who are swaddling-I thought this was for every baby as they liked being snug like in the womb-apparently not! Eloise loves sleeping with her arms up so hates swaddling! Sleeping bags are the way forward apparently!

Hope everyone is well will try and have a read back later.

Thanks for all support and advice xxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Belle. :D. I think most of us are the same for quite a while before baby is born but I prefer to view it as preparatory training for what lies ahead because then it is almost normal and not really a shock to the system like it would be if we had long comfortable nights sleep in the build up to delivery :D:rotfl: My oldest boy was delivered at 27 weeks when I was still having normal sleep pattern and it came as a total shock to the system even although he was in intensive care to start with and was not actively involved in his care giving for the first few days. :o

    Bella, she is beautiful!

Im planning on going to the unit at St Marys now. I prefer it there and QA is sooo busy. I was there last night for monitoring and it took ages for them to come back into the room because they had lots of ladies in.

At St Marys the maximum would be 6 :)

Bella if yours is the black handset one then I think it is the newest model as it is the one we bought last week but from amazon as it was cheapest there! :D

When you are by the stage where you no longer need the Muslins they are also fab for cleaning windows as they don't cause streaks and last for years and years which is a bit MSE too. :D

I have bought both swaddle blankets and sleeping bags as my oldest child loved being swaddled and my youngest hated it but just about tolerated sleeping bags though tbh he really didn't much and screamed day and night constantly for the first 14 months.....yet now is the most adorable smiley and good natured 2 year old that you could ever meet! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: So this time I have bought both just to be on the safe side. :D
