Don't know whether it is true or not as my experience of adult healthcare shows that people all miraculously recover for the duration of holiday weekends but a few friends who retrained as midwives say the reverse tends to be true in their field and they have far more births over said weekends.
. Hope both of you ladies as well as others in bold keep the trend going and have bank holiday babies.

Hi all,
Didn't have the sweep. I got to the maternity unit and i had Pre Eclampsia symptoms. Went straight to the hospital and they quickly decided i was fine. But i had to spend 3 hours on the bloody machine because babies heartrate was going between 120 - 170bpm and i was having lots of contractions.
Im home now and a kebab is on the way, and i might get my sweep tomorrow
I now have horrible back ache and bum cramp after sitting down for so long.0 -
Sorry youR day went the way it did EA.
. But hopefully tomorrow will be better and you end up with a bank holiday baby.

Congrats m&m and Charlie! Sounds like you each got a different side of the experience. A good reminder that anything can happen.
And I hope it happens soon for vroom & teenie! And good luck EA with your sweep tomorrow, fingers crossed it works.
*Whinge alert*
had a mixed bag sort of day, but my heartrate has been up all day cos I've just realised that this is really happening and all the stuff I haven't done yet. I know in my head all will be fine & it's not essential to do all this stuff, but it's just hit me and hard and I've not been able to shake the rising panic...
I'm going to try some meditation to help me sleep now. I know I wont get much, cos I took the curtains down to wash them, then realised I'd ne better off putting up a blackout blind since baby will be sleeping here too for a while, but by the time I'd been to b&q to find they don't have blinds long enough I was too tired to put the curtains back up again, so I'll be woken by sunrise. Doh!0
