well hot curry for me again tonight (any excuse)
omg I am SO excited about the royal wedding! x:j:jOur gorgeous baby boy born 2nd May 2011 - 12 days overdue!!:j:j0 -
BCS sorry I am not sure how they will do it at your hospital but most will give you results or at least a strong indication of results on the same day but like everything else unfortunately it is the luck of the draw and down to each areas specified protocols.
Vroom I really hope you get to see and enjoy the royal wedding so am not sure whether I should wish you to have a speedy onset quick labour or for your baby to wait to Friday night now to do the same?0 -
Come on overdue ladies, get a move on, or should that be babies get a move on, labour vibes to you all.
Had a growth scan today and everything is normal, baby didn't keep still the whole time, but hey thats normal. He is also now head down, which explains the pressure and discomfort I've been getting since Sunday.
Then saw consultant, they are more than happy with everything - so much so that I don't have to see them again until I'm 41 weeks -
obviously he could have arrived by then, they don't want me to go too far overdue so they will have a look and do a sweep then. Will just have midwife now every 2 weeks, next one with her next Thursday.
My hospital bags are packed, still need a few more things, changing mat, few more sheets etc. Getting too tired to do to much at once now so everything at a slow pace for me now!:heart2:Baby boy madbird arrived 15/06/11 by emergency csection weighing 9lb 13oz:eek: love him so much xx:heart2:0 -
Hi everyone, I have been a mute lurker for a fair while now after my initial hi. I've been waiting to be a bit further along before posting again and today I have reached 24 weeks! Yay!! :T I feel like I can really post now!
So, to begin with massive labour vibes to those who need them (esp the boldies). Enjoy your curry vroom. I think you'll have a Royal wedding babe!!
I can't remember if I said on this thread but DH and I found out that we're on team blue so since then I have had a major blue shopping influx of bits from the relatives (and I couldn't resist some myself!). We've got our nursery furniture (mega Ebay bargain) and the same with our travel set. We also have the feeding stuff and a ton (probably far too much) clothes. The grandparents can't be controlled :rotfl:. We have been very lucky.
I'm a saddo and have my list of what else we need and we're slowly working our way through it along with the relatives. I feel quite organised but worry that I'll be so organised that I won't have enough to keep my mind occupied towards the later stages. I'm quite a control freak so I like being organised but I would like to save some things to do for mat leave. It looks like I'll be off about 3 1/2 weeks before my EDD but I know I may need that time as it'll be July/Aug and potentially very hot.
We have our 25 week appointment coming up and presumably that's when we'll get our form for work? Will they give us two? DH's work need one too for his paternity leave but obviously my work needs one. Does anyone know?
What should I expect after this next appointment? Are there any other appointments or scans? It's baby number 1 and so far all tests and scans have been fine.
Anyway, sorry for the ramble but I can't contain my excitement, especially now I've reached my "V" day!0 -
Question: if a friend gave you a large bag of baby clothes and said "get rid of anything you don't like or want", would you say it would be ok to ebay it if you don't want it?
I've had a look through and taken out the stuff that I like and would use, but some of the stuff isn't my tasteOlympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Maybe say to her that you're thinking of doing that and would it be ok with her and offer to go halves on the money? Perhaps don't say it isn't your taste but rather say something like you've got tons so only picked out the faves?0 -

I've just got a quick question if anyone can help, I have my GTT tomorrow & I was wondering whether I will find out the results tomorrow or whether they send the samples away to be tested at hospital.
I am over weight so feeling slightly anxious.
I am afraid i cant help but am also in Northampton and need a GTT so would love to know when you find out if you dont mind sharing. Hope it goes well for you!vroombroom wrote: »well hot curry for me again tonight (any excuse)

I would say go for it if there is no one else that you can give it to that would need it - maybe buy their little one a prezzy with the proceeds or give them a little something extra but i think if you were given things to benefit the baby and you want to sell it at a good price to someone else rather than throw it in the bin then thats fine in my book
I spent 45 minutes in the car with the radio off talking to bump on the way home tonight. First time ever i have actually sat and spoken consciously other than i love you's etc and it felt very odd and ended up with me singing nursery rhymes but hope Elvis heard and knows i was thinking about him/her lol
Puzzled xx0 -
I had my GTT on the Thurs and got my results back on the Monday. Well... I had to phone them up and ask for them lol. I'm West Midlands, don't know if that makes a difference.
Madbird - glad your scan went well hun! Make use of those energy bursts when you can! They slow down so much towards the end!
Vroom - we're officially on a race now! C'mon hun... I want a bump b'day buddy! Enjoy your curry! Wish I could have had one but with bubs guaranteed tomorrow I figured it wasn't the best idea when I plan to BF lol!
Doglover - Happy Viability! It certainly is a happy moment to hit that mark!
Enjoy being spoilt by grandparents or whoever wants to spoil your babies ladies. I don't have a huge family and have felt very alone during this pregnancy and would have loved for someone to want to spoil my baby (or me lol). So enjoy it whilst it lasts
On a personal note... i've got to be at the hospital for 7.30am tomorrow. Operations start at 8am and i've got to wait my turn. Just hope i'm not waiting too long cos the nerves are really setting in now and I have all night to get through!
Also - because I haven't been tested for MRSA they want me to have 2 showers tonight and then 2 more in the morning! All before getting to the hospital for 7.30am!!!
I'll be exhausted before baby even gets here but hopefully i'll have some good news tomorrow.
Wish me luck and labour vibes to all who want them! Hugs xBeautiful Baby Boy born 28 April 20110 -
Madness hope all goes well tomorrow.
Madbird glad all went well for you today and I hope that you get to relax as much as possible before babys arrival.
Doglover glad you have reached 24 weeks safely and everything is going well for you.
MrsSpendalot I think it depends very much on your friend and how she would feel.....if it was me I really would not be bothered what any of my friends did with anything I gave them as I would have given them away as they were of no further use to me iyswim?0
