Koala - I think that's my worry; I have 12 full weeks left at work, then 4x4 day weeks. I have a niggle that baby is going to come early (well, before 40 weeks) and we've still loads of DIY etc to do!! Eek!
xDxFear is temporary, regret is forever.....:happyhear Baby girl born 27th September - 10 days late!! :happyhear0 -
Never worry about it it really isn't worth stressing about so long as your house is clean and safe then it really doesn't matter.
My youngest came home to a hallway where I had done most of the cutting in and also painted random patches of wall to break up the monotony of painting the whole area in one go.....the previous owners had opted for a mocha colour and my handiwork was in barley white as I wanted to brighten it up a bit. It stayed like that for over 6 months as he had been preterm and I was worried about the paint fumes.....nobody was brave enough to comment and by the end I had grown quite attached to it's distinctive appearance! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Morning Ladies!
Sending massive labour vibes again to all the boldies!:j
Good luck for your sweeps today vroom & Teenie! Really hope they gets your bubbas moving!
Well done on your organisation Ddebski! I was looking at the clothes I have already for baby - more than enough and that is without all of the stuff that OH's mum, my mum and my sister have all bought and are keeping until she is born! We are going to need a bigger house
I do need some nice blankets though - any suggestions? I've only bought one cream one so far but would like a few pink and some white ones too.
Boss is not in the office today and it's looking as though it's going to be very quiet - I think some online shopping is in order!:D:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -

I've been considering bedding too - cellular blankets best? Cotton? Polyester mix? Fitted sheets? Flat sheets? How many? Aaarggghh!!

xDx
Fitted cot sheets for the matress, then a smaller sized flat sheet as a top sheet the top folded back over blanket(s) hospital bed style. At least that's what I've always done. I got cotton jersey fitted sheets on 3 for 2 at Tesco, and they've all washed well and are lovely and soft.
Cellular blankets are good, but I've used other ones (including the much loved crochet ones) with no trouble.
Fleecy ones are nice for out in the pram, the wind doesn't get through them!
ETA Squeak has a cot bed, I have 2 specific sheets for that, if she got sick and soiled both in one night I would use a single sheet. (but I've got older kids so have lots of single bedding) I've got two of the top sheets which has been enough. If you have a crib you can use pillowcases as sheets :money:
I seem to have ended up with loads of blankets, much more than I need. You won't need many to start with as your baby is due in summer so won't need more than one at a time.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

I have 4 fitted sheets.. we don't do top sheets but had 4 sleeping bags and several fleece blankets and a couple of brushed cotton cellular ones. I did get 4 moses flat sheets which I used for swaddling.. it was summer and Squeak was a hot thing. We have a bobbly fluffy blanket which is gorgeous from next but they do the same ones in toys r us.. they are so soft I want to steal it!
I don't like the acrylic blankets as they shed fibres which isn't the best. I like fleeces too they are great for tucking in the car seat.. nice and light for taking out and warm. I don't think they are good in wind as it goes straight through but they are warm enough otherwise.
Crap... i'll need a few more cot blankets... bottoms and botheration!!!!!!!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
