I was at first - I don't think I really bought a lot until I was about 16/17 weeks and now it seems like everywhere I go I have to buy something!
How many weeks are you now?
21Maybe I'm better off holding back the floodgates for as long as possible as I fear once I start, I won't stop! I'm off to see my sis this weekend and plan to load up with lots of stuff from my nephews then in a couple of weeks should get Moses basket and lots of newborn stuff from SIL. Once I've done that I can take stock and figure out what's needed. I spend hours looking online at prams, cots, breast pumps, but just window shop and tell myself it's too early.

What would you have said a year ago if someone told you that in a years time you'd have a stranger rummage about in your lady bits and tell you you're ripe? :rotfl: Sorry, just made me chuckle a bit. We're all heading for the same thing. Glad to hear things are moving forward for you.0 -
Aprioct - i think it would be rude for you not to visit the burger van while shopping
Vroom - definately good news!! Good luck!!!!
Twilight - i am the same, 20 + 3 now and we have bought nappies, wipes, monitor and a single baby grow - we have a big pile of stuff from friends and things but nothing that is actually organised - i have a big list that OH and i are working through at the moment and lots of things to come but we havent actually "bought" much at the moment - unless its been on super offer like our monitor.
Im not sure when to start shopping propery but i guess it will take over - if not OH and i have plans to go to do a massive asda shop down at milton keynes for all of the baby essentials.
Scan is on Tuesday and cannot come fast enough, we have been waiting so long and now i just want it here!
Hope the boldies are all well and that there are some announcements soon

Hi Girls.
I've been on holiday for past week (:D) and haven't read back on the thread much so not sure what I have missed!
I have seen the conversation on blankets on previous page - so thanks - cos i haven't got any blankets yet. In fact only got a couple of sheets actually.
*Stupid question alert* Do i need to pop a sheet in the pram?
Am now 31 weeks. How did that happen? Bump is extremely active and keeps trying to stretch out my tummy with his/her head, ouchy!
Requested a homebirth from my midwife last time i was there, she sheemed quite positive, so am chuffed, she is going to change my notes at tomorrows appointment (as i need to switch hospitals, cos the community midwifes come out from hospital and i'm booked into another! Ooops)
Labour vibes to all those who need them=====================================

I always have SDH as it makes it much easier to deal with when/if baby is sick.
. You can change the sheet in no time at all and it protects the mattress so you don't have to wash it every time.

Finally got a call from the nice people at Boori to arrange a delivery date for my babys furniture
......was starting to get a bit worried that baby would arrive before her furniture just like happened with her brothers! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Great news Vroom!
Today we went for a long walk to take my books back to the library and it has caused many BHs and a few 'in the bum' contractions.
We have loaded up on treats to watch a movie tonight
4 days left until my sweep! :j0 -
Congratulations to Benson and labour vibes to Vroom & Teenie!
Had 36 wk MW appointment yesterday and did birth plan, found out that my nearest hospital where the other 3 were born has construction work about to start and the water pool is been taken out of use. Was really pee'd off but MW suggested moving to a diff hospital, there are several within a 1/2 hr radius, so went to see one last night is a midwife led self contained unit and was really nice and hopefully going to see the other 2night, the one 2night has 2 pools so I'm hoping we like that one best as I think I'll have a better chance of getting a pool if theres 2.
Of course OH can't see what the fuss is about, tells me a bit of gas&air and I'll be fine like last time, can't get him to see that 1, I was devistated last time not to get a waterbirth and that 2 I'm so poorly with this pregnancy that I feel I'll not cope unless I'm in water. He's more concerned with the fact he knows our nearest hospital and all the ins and outs of parking etc.
MW has recommended a home birth, but it seems such a hassle and hiring a pool is expensive and dd had breathing difficulties (well she didn't but it sounded like she did - floppy larinx) so I'd prefer to know a doctor was availiable if needed and it might sound daft but if I'm in hospital no-one will be able to expect me to do anything so I won't feel guilty for just enjoying cuddles.
Hmm anyway rant over - sorry:D0 -
Hi everyone, hope you are all well. :A
I've just got a quick question if anyone can help, I have my GTT tomorrow & I was wondering whether I will find out the results tomorrow or whether they send the samples away to be tested at hospital.
I am over weight so feeling slightly anxious.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

Evening ladies!!
Hope you are all well!!
Got midwife tomorrow for my 36 weeks appointment (i will be 36 +4 days) got my consultant appointment next week (after them mucking about getting it sorted, but thats another story!) but i'm not 100% convinced I will still be in 1 piece then. I'm starting to think hubbys prediction of a royal wedding baby might not be far off lol Having lots of braxton hicks, lots of period type pains, and also-sorry if tmi lol- a bit of 'dischargy stuff' lol I feel like i did in the few days/week before I had ds 2 (cant really remember from ds 1 -8 years ago lol)
i'm quite snappy and feel like i will rip off the head of anyone who dares to even speak to me lol Have suddenly got a million times more tired, my appetite has dropped through the floor (after the last couple of weeks of being so hungry I would have eaten Bambi :rotfl:) and going to the 'toilet' lots (sorry, if tmi again :rotfl:) this is exactly what i was like in the week before I went into labour with ds 2 , and I went into labour with him at 36 +4 days, so who knows!!
Anyway i hope for everyone elses sake that I dont have too much longer left, otherwise theres going to be a few bitten off heads :rotfl:
Also see what midwife says tomorrow about how baby is lying-it was breech when i last saw her 2 weeks ago, and i'm pretty sure it hasnt turned as i get not kicks or jabs etc above the top half of my bump-it just seems to shift from the left side to the right. Unless of course it's lying head down with it's feet bent right up in front of it's face :rotfl: It has caused hubby to think it's a girl as it can't find the right way out
Anyway, labour vibes to all who want them-i'm off to start getting ds 2 sorted for bed-anything to stop him arguing with his brother!!0
