    hello ladies!

thought i'd check in after being absent awhile, i read every day though.

good luck to those in labour :j and huge vibes to the boldies!

i'm 19+3 today, got my scan next tuesday and i can't wait :D my mum is going to be ordering our pram for us and i'm stupidly excited about buying sheets and blankets for the crib we're going to get :j

baby is moving about like nobodies business at times. i've been able to feel it kick for a while now and the other day while in the bath it made my stomach move for the first time. i've also been able to feel it squirming about for a couple of weeks now, it's quite uncomfortable at times, but i don't care :D

i found out at my midwife appointment the other week that i'm rhesus negative, so will have to have the anti-d injection - which i'm actually dreading more than giving birth!

Thanks for your post, im 19 + 2 and have been feeling movement for a while - thought i was a bit odd becuase everyone keeps telling me its too early so thought i was imagining it :)

well that's what i thought as well, but it's definitely what it is, i can't mistake it for anything else :D

Hi Little Angel sorry about the Rhesus negative, hopefully it won't be too bad and you can focus on the pram and sheets etc, all the nice things!

My mum got us our pram too which was great, then we got goven a Maxi Cosi which hopefully will be ok for bringing baby back from hospital - can anyone confirm this?

Good news about the eventful sleep to you and Puzzled too - my hubby says I'm a lucky girl he he :D I was just being coy - guess I should say I get the big 'O' during my sleep :rotfl:

Maybe TMI, but, er, is anyone else getting sleep with *benefits* these days? I have always been lucky to have once or twice a month when I sleep and wake up happy :D and now I am PG is seems to be around 3 times - last night being one :p;)

Haha, yeah I had that loads for a while, but not for ages now. Too achy in bed to have that now I think :o Plus side is I now want OH which is the first time in months :rotfl:

Digital - i have been agonising over whether to go for the NCT and am not sure how good/bad the Northampton NHS courses are - does anyone know???

It's difficult as for the NCT classes you generally have to book well in advance as they fill up quickly. However, the NHS ones round here were a bit later than ideal, even though I booked at 28 weeks, but managed to get them in before bubs was born. One baby didn't hold on though :rotfl:

I have done a lot of research myself, so felt confident enough just going along for the ride as it were. I thought that the NHS ones were free, and we really can't afford nor justify the expense of the NCT ones, so felt we'd just go for the free ones - if they are carp nothing is lost! But they were good, helpful to OH as well.

Not sure what the Northants ones would be like, maybe post on B&B forum as more users on there?

I'm rhesus negative too, and had my anti-D injection yesterday. It's nothing to dread - just an injection in your arm like a flu jab or any other immunisation.

Which Maxi cosi seat were you given sparkle? I have a Cabriofix which is suitable from birth but they do make seats for older children too.

Nobody has mentioned anti natal classes to me, maybe I should mention it to the midwife next time I go. Are they really worth it? (The time I mean) I don't want to go if they are not actually going to be useful to me.

I think they are more useful for our OH's to be honest. For example mine is at work all the time, so hasn't spent the hours researching or chatting about babies and their stuff online that I have :)

I went to them previously and they weren't fantastic, but it probably depends on where you live etc.

I'm waiting to see if my midwife mentions them, as DH has never been to any (his DD from 1st wife was born at 29 weeks) and isn't familiar with the hospital here (he moved here to be with me) so I thought it would be good for him to have a look round. That said, we went to the antenatal ward yesterday and I quickly pointed out to him where everything is so maybe that will be enough.
