Hi all,

Keith so sorry to hear they are still being kept in, sounds so stressful and I do hope today you get some results and they can finally come home. Just think it's been 9 months of waiting so it's hopefully one more day, and then they're with you.

Koala hope your little one is recovering - from what i hear Fruit Pastille ice lollies do wonders for injured heads I have one in the freezer and would gladly give it to him to help!

Apricot sounds like you're getting very energetic there, it's practically tired me out just reading that Mind you I am off half day today and don't go back til Tues, so over the next few days I do hope to get some more stuff done. Hubby has been very good too and each evening is doing a little bit of DIY, which is great as I know his work is very stressful right now.
As to the Maxicosi must check what name is on it, it's not a fixed in one, just one that you can attach to seatbelt.

BCC that cot is adorable, really cute and you sound like you have a lot ready which is fab. I must get some bottles I guess, even though I am planning to breast feed, someone told me Dr Browns were good bottles, does anyone have any recommendations?

As to the sleep with benefits(I guess easier to call it that he he) I really don't know what causes it but have always seemed to be lucky :) Lately though it's been twice in the last 10 days, and I blush at some of the dream content as maybe the hormones are making them more intense, hubby finds it great though too as we DTD Sunday so I've had 3 in the last 10 days
Teenie come on name some of the men in yours?

Digital / Charlie / Forumgazer - hopefully you can DTD in other creative ways to satisfy your OH but also yourself - think of all the endorphins for baby - I read yesterday they can feel your emotions within seconds. I was at work and knew an annoying customer was on hold for me, got a bit annoyed I guess and next think you know Sweetpea gave some little kicks! So the more endorpins I can give him, the more laughter, DTD etc I will do to make up for any stress...

These where the first ones I went to when pregnant last time I think I started going at about 28 weeks???? dont think i'll be going again to be honest they have moved maternity services from the hospital I work at to another town which is not great. I might go to have a look at the materity wards etc so I know where to go when the time comes, they do tours twice a week

Sorry things are not great at the mo for you and OH keith. Hope they get home soon, I was in for 5 days after having DS i understand how flustrating it can be, wont be long now

Keith, sorry it's a hard time, and I know how frustrated you msut be- all you can do is keep badgering the midwifes, while they may drag it out, they can't keep her indefinitely....

We'd been wondering how we would cope after the birth- I have to go back to work. I don't think I'd like to be a SAHM, but that's personal preference just. In any case- we can't afford for me to be, and quickly checking out childcare rates around here- I don't think we could afford that either.
My mother-in-law spoke to me at the weekend and offered to look after baby- I hadn't wanted to ask, in case I pressured her into it. She wouldn't hear of baby being left with childcare either, and told me not to worry- it will be sorted out by the family.... That's a bit less worry!

Dude, where's my baby?;)

4 texts so far and I've only been up 20 mins. On the plus side, I slept ALL night and only have mild SPD related pain! But no signs of labour...

A quiet day so far, let's hope it's because so many ladies are having mummy cuddles!!! Can't believe I am at the top almost :eek:

Keith sorry to here your OH is still in hospital, hopefully she will get out today I know it's annoying but I suppose it is better to be safe than sorry.

Lirin that's good that your MIl is going to look after wee one for you, my MIL has offered to take bubs for 2 days (I will go back to work 3 days again) so it means I only have to pay for childcare for 1/2 day as DH works a half day on a Friday. It is going to save me having to pay out 2 lots of childcare so I am grateful for it!

Keith Sorry to hear that the maternity ward is being carp! Hopefully your wife and baby Amelia will be allowed home today!

Going to start making notes on how to do my job today, just in case I end up going into labour early and don't get time to train my replacement properly. Worked out yesterday that if my last day is 1st July I have 60 something days left in work! Yay can't wait!
