I think they are more useful for our OH's to be honest. For example mine is at work all the time, so hasn't spent the hours researching or chatting about babies and their stuff online that I have :)

That's what I thought. I have spent a lot of time around other people's babies growing up and watched my sister give birth last year so I have a fair idea of what to expect but my OH hasn't really got a clue. It is only since I have been pregnant that he agrees to hold other people's babys (he said he'd rather drop someone elses baby than ours :rotfl:)

Not sure whether he would want to go though really

Mine didn't really want to go, but I convinced him it was worth it and he said afterwards that he was glad we went.

I wouldn't bother going with any subsequent children, but certainly may as well for a first child :)

My DH wasn't sure about going to an anenatal course but actually really enjoyed it and found it very useful.

I enjoyed chatting with the other mums-to-be :)

Another one really jealous here as i've never had any 'benefit' dreams here. :(

Plus i'm horny as hell, too huge to do anything about it and know i'm not gonna be having anything of the kind for a while anyhow after a C Section. Goddammit!

On a side note i'm into single figures of 9 days to go today. Woo!

    Yay for single figures!

It's going to be difficult DTD I reckon but really only due to my SPD. I am worried about aggravating it further. But 1) I want this baby out, so may help get him moving 2) poor old OH has had to go without for months due to my sickness, tiredness and pain so I've not been in the mood and 3) I am finally wanting to do it :o:rotfl:

So we shall be attempting it at some point this week and hopefully it will get bubs out, but at the very least will satisfy my OH for a little bit :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm also going to get on my ball tonight, have a hot curry at weekend and try the clary sage oil thingy

    Hi All
Been skimming the thread as for probably the first time in the pregnancy I've had a burst of energy so been trying to stay off the internet and take advantage of it!

Congrats to all the new arrivals, there seems to have been a rush :)

I've just had my first week of NCT classes and they've been really good and lots of fun. I went for them over the free ones as my friend said the hospital ones here were a bit poor and the NCT one is better for making other mum contacts, which is important for me as I've no-one around. They've been really good at getting the dad's involved and feeling part of it too. We had a bit of a laugh at the last one with the women all being given 'things a woman in labour might say' and the men had to pick out the correct answers from a list. I did know a lot of things we discussed, mostly from this thread(!), but it was good to consolidate it all and have a chance to ask questions. I think OH is more engaged and focussed now.

Little Miss has been pushing into my bladder for the last day or so, making it very painful to walk. Midwife today said she'll probably not change position now, I don't think I can cope with 9 more weeks of nearly wetting myself with every step

Oh and I've also have had sleep with benefits this last month.:D

I know I'm jealous!!! I just keep dreaming about men I REALLY shouldn't be dreaming about! :o Think I might have to bite the bullet and dtd with hubby to stop me feeling so guilty! :rotfl:

ah sleep with benefits - that would be nice.

I am so h*y nowadays but with cervical exam coming up neither of us want to risk doing any damage - we held off on Sun night in case I was going to have an internal with Obstetrician next day and he would know :rotfl:

feel guilty a bit but not too bad as OH is being very cuddly and affectionate in its place though and I hope that I'll heal up reasonably quickly after smear for the weekend

    best do some work now...!
    team yellow :)
Can't wait to meet you now baby!

    hey everyone :)

I found the nhs antenatal classes not very good to be honest :( i liked looking round the delivery suite etc but other than that we had a bloke talk for over an hour about reuseable nappies (BORING), another one had a woman came to talk about breast feeding she had her son with her who was about 2 years old who she proceeded to breast feed much my OH's horror (he doesnt like breast feeding it makes him feel quite uncomfortable, plus she didnt give him much warning!!) other than that didnt learn anything that I didnt already know. Hope others found it more productive :)

Sending major labour vibes to those who want them :) xx
