I had just always imagined myself with a girl so wanted a chance to adjust when the hormones weren't running high if it was a boy. OH wasn't fussed at all. I was having a bad spell too, so thought it'd help me bond with them better. Didn't have any luck at the scan, and funnily enough I wasn't as bothered by that as I thought I'd be - after I'd seen them yawning and stuff, and she started kicking it was just wonderful
But it was still a niggle, especially when people were offering me loads of girls clothes etc, so obv as per previous post, went for a private one.
I dont mind what we have really, but im worried that if i imagine a girl or a boy more then i will be sad if its the opposite if that makes sense.
At present this is going to be our one and only and im just nervous that friends trying to convince me its a girl or a boy etc (which tends to be done by saying "a girl would mean you can xxxx") will make me feel worse.
Then again, i overthink everything and am wondering if thats what im doing now lol0 -
Tryng again! Despite editing them the photobucket links kept showing the originals :mad:0

I love the scan pics Perdi, really lovely!
I am still worried that he baby is going to come out a boy, not because i wouldn't want a boy but because it would take some getting used to after thinking of her as a girl. I know the scans can be wrong although she seemed pretty certain! I think i am just paranoid.0 -
I keep trying to do pelvic floor exercises but always clench my bum?? I'm not doing it right :rotfl:
I think it's the muscles you use when you are having a wee - so mid wee try and stop it and that's the pelvic floor (although these days Im so desperate for a wee all the time I can't actually stop it!)A
Was getting some tummy pains last night but it was just windand had a wee touch of diawoowoo this morning TMI sorry!! Baby has definately been a bit quieter today come to think of it, and my ladies bits are feeling a bit bruised LOL!! Taking all this as a good sign though that things will start happening soon(ish!).
Hope everyone has had a really nice day. x
Ooh wonder if it was a special poo?:rotfl: Not long to go now so hope things are staring for you Teenie!Puzzledbubbles wrote: »Just a quick question, how did everyone decide whether to find out at the 20 week scan? I know its a personal choice but i was just wondering how you all came to your decisions, or if you just knew you did/didnt want to find out.
I absolutely had to know what I was having. Tried to convince OH to let me have a gender scan at 17 weeks but he said we had to wait & we could only have a private scan if NHS one couldn't tell. Tbh when I looked around I saw so many lovely gender specific things that I was getting really disheartened that I didn't know the sex - I may have gone a bit mad once I did find out though
Congratulations perdi on team pink!
Have had a lovely day enjoying the sunshine, went to my nans and heard the ice cream van but when I went out he was a few streets down (I obviously have excellent hearing) - by that time I was so desperate for an ice cream that I jumped in the car and chased him down - he was very surprised at being accosted by two women to stop!:rotfl:
(btw I know Im not meant to have soft ice cream but I NEEDED one!):happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -

:rotfl::rotfl:LOL I've had "special poos" all through this pregnancy, there has been no worries on that front.....sorry again!
Hope you enjoyed your whippy, I had a huge one at the beach yesterday in a chocolate waffle cone mmmmmmm I was saying to DH I wondered how many people were saying "oh she shouldn't be eating that while she is pregnant" LOL it's really something I'm not worried about tbh."That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
Congrats on Team Pink, Perdi, and lovely pic
Anyone else in late 3rd tri getting really bad leg/thigh cramps? Think it's because I stood for too long in the garden, but get them quite a lot anyway, and they are really painful. Also feels like a pulled muscle or something in my inner hip joint. Ouch. Also wondering whether the stabs/pressure I've been feeling in my foof is bubs engaging further... Hope so.0 -

Tbh I didn't even think about it until the ice cream man said "I hope one of these is not for you - you're not meant to eat them while pregnant!" - I just told him one wouldn't hurt me as long as his machine was nice and clean!:D
Baby now seems to think my rib cage is a nice place to hang out - well it's not for me! I put a cold can on it and she moved away but came back within the minute! I think I may be having a stubborn little girl!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -

Huh cheeky !!!!!!....good for you for the reply!well bubs is due this friday (15th) i think i had a show this morning , i also have lower back pain and quite tight tightenings, its been like that most of the day, ive always been induced so its all new to me...does anyone know if this is the start of labour?
Ohh sounds very promising, I have been getting lots of tightening but nothing else, I know a show doesn't mean imminent labour but it's a good sign especially with the lower back pain. Fingers crossed for you x"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0
