I just had a quick google Vroom and think you had to work for the company before you were 25 weeks pregnant or the first company can stop maternity pay.

    I'm 8th on the list:eek:

Random question, does anyone know if I worked 8 hrs per week whilst on maternity leave it would affect my maternity pay? (only asking as OH's cousin is opening a new pub in June and has offered me 8 hrs a week if I want to do it :D)

I'm not sure can work and claim mat pay so worth checking that out.

If you can do both, the only thing I can think of is that because you will be earning more than just the mat pay, you may hit your tax allowance much quicker than if you were just on mat pay. As a result, either your pub wage or your mat pay would be reduced.

Unless it's cash in hand then I think you're fine.

I might do a few keep in touch days , although will want to do it before my manager goes on maternity leave herself as she had her 12 week scan yesterday! She is happy to organise it just so i get a bit of extra money bless her.

    Congratulations Anibee! :D

Sorry about the problems with your debit card Mrsspendalot hope your bank fixes it quickly

Can't believe that people were being so silly about GTTs especially when considering the potential consequences of undiagnosed gestational diabetes for both the mothers and babies. :(

    Glucose Tolerance Test

I thought KIT didn't affect your SMP? I thought they had to pay you your usual wage for that day, but there was no other effect? Glad I aren't doing any if that's the case!!!
