Re-belly button . I had the top and bottom of mine peirced so I now have lovely stretched purple scar running down tummy. Not pretty , Im hoping that when bump shrinks ( straight after birth , lol) Im not left with a mess . I used to be addicted to piercings...... even had my nipple peirced
That will be interesting when I come to breastfeed. Never had any peircings on my face , well apart from that little bit of your ear thats stuck to the side of you face . The middle part , not sure what its called , still have that peirced. I think its called the tragus ? ...
Apricot Im getting sick of my lack of fashionable maternity stuff . Going to Matalan tonight to see if I can get any tops ( non maternity) that fit , and then they will be okay to use after baby is bornThanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

OH can't believe that any mum would do this - mind you he can't stand earrings either
thanks ladies for the not so reassuring news
I can reassure you Forumgrazer from my experience anyway x
I had a belly piercing 13 years ago (had 2 children) now 7 and 8 years old and my piercing while obviously stretched during pregnancies went back to normal along with the rest of my stomach so I put the piercing back in. The only thing that didn't go back to normal properly for me was my actual belly button which was a little bigger than when I first became pg :rotfl:
In this pregnancy I removed the piercing somewhere around the 17 week mark but like Mrs Spendalot not sure if I'll replace it this time when baby is born as feel too old!
Re the stretchmarks I've never had any (touch wood - have 10 weeks left to go) but I think it may be down to genetics and skin type so I've heard.
Hope everybody's keeping well and that there is some news from the boldies!0 -

I got a nice t-shirt from sainsburys the other day, in a size 16 so it would be baggy enough to go over bump. It has pull-tie things at each side so it pulls up a bit for shape (not a good description, I know). It fits lovely. It was £6 so probably cheaper than a maternity one would have been too.
I'm growing out of my maternity jeans now, so I'm thinking I might have to get some cropped length ones for the rest of my pregnancy now the weather is improvingOlympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

I have a tattoo on my left arm, though nothing near bump, and I've pierced ears only. I used to do a lot of martial arts, and our instructor was very big into maintaining the entire body- I'd frequently bath with a few drops of an oil blend I've made in, and I'd use moisturiser etc continually. Bath dropped now- partner won't let me near them if he's not around with low blood pressure...Even though it's been a few years since I competed, I can still kick over 6ft.
Bio-oil is fairly good- I have some in the house and use it every night (or most nights, sometimes falling asleep before I can!). I know of a couple of people who have used oils- expensive in a shop, not much on Ebay- and while they've had 2 kids each, one has terrible stretch marks, the other's stomach looks like a teenagers. Second used oils.
I do still make up my own blends- not terribly difficult to make a nice one. Have some with frankinsense, and others lavender-based- since I can't sleep well atm, they're both getting used to drag me in/out of sleep mode.
I know to protect a tattoo there's tattooGoo, where I was advised to use Vaseline on mine as apparantly the base is pretty much the same. I don't know if that would help to protect tattoo's much?0 -

The supermarkets are great for cheap stretchy clothes! I got a few maxi dresses from Tesco the other day just in my usual size for a few quid each! - they are jersey material so stretchy and are loose fitting from the bust so ideal for growing bumpdef worth a look at the sale rail.
I am finding my under the bump maternity jeans a bit uncomfortable at the moment - I like looser clothes so am wearing last years maxi dress to work today which is fine cos again it's stretchy material.0 -
It is a lovely day - perfect for walking that babs out Alfalfa x
That's the plan of action! Just trying to figure out where to go, maybe seaside or maybe to one of the little market towns nearby for a mooch about.
RE:stretchmarks. Had none throughout pregnancy, moisturised all the time then the other day OH notices one just below my belly button! Nooooo! And on the subject of belly buttons- mine hasn't popped out and I really wanted it to!0 -

I've been using bio-oil for the last 20 weeks or so, was buying it in asda but then found this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bio-Oil-Specialist-Skincare-Oil-200/dp/B00129XP8M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1302258067&sr=8-1 and touch wood no stretch marks so far (even though I did have a false alarm about 10 weeks ago lol). Thought I'd be ok until my friend told me that she got all of hers in the last day or 2!£2000/£9000=22.2%0 -

That's what Im planning on doing - I bought a couple of maternity tops from Ebay but im not fussed on them tbh - I feel much better in "normal" stretchy tops than maternity stuff!
On the subject of bellybuttons - I never had mine pierced so don't have that problem but my bellybutton currently looks like trout lips according to OH - it is foul! Hoping I don't get an outie though:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
I've just logged onto my bank and someone has used my card to make mobile phone top up payments :eek::eek:
I just phoned up to dispute them, they are definitely not ones anyone in the house has made as we have contract phones and on a different network :eek::eek:
I'm gobsmacked!
So I have a blocked debit card now and have to wait 20 days for them to investigate and return the money. Good job it's 'only' £30 and not £300 then, eh?!Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015
