    hi to all bumps...

hope those with hayfever and spd (and irritating relatives) get some relief... good luck dipsy and other boldies

just a silly thought before I settle into work proper - went swimming yesterday and had a bit of a shock when I saw that the side of my belly button had collapsed down a little - is this the beginning of getting an outie?...

I know it can happen but wasn't expecting it this soon - am only 19+3 with only a little bump. OH joked that he'd not be able to come near me now
    ... not impressed 5.gif

Also related to this, has anyone had a naval piercing and what happens to the hole - had one in my teens but took it out 6 years ago (probably tmi but had to get rid of it when I got entangled in OH's pants :rotfl:) I'm worried that it will stretch to high heaven... using lots of vit E oil at the moment but not sure if this will be enough

    anyway enough from me...
can't wait for next scan - bump is hiding from doppler so am going to leave it alone til after wed x

I'm 38+1 today and I took my naval peircing out at about 10 weeks (so well before I had a bump) It's not pretty now. Its closed up, but the scar has all stretched. It's not attractive!

I have moisturised my stomach all the way through and have got no stretch marks, however I was not able to prevent the naval peircing scar from stretching and looking awful. We don't think of this when we have them done lol.

Oh Alfalfa big hugs x x x I think it is quite natural to look forward to it - sounds crazy doesn't it, but when you are this preggers you don't get up to much do you? Might even be the highlight of your day! I too am strangely looking forward to it! Hope it happens naturally for you this weekend (or, preferably today) xx

Eeeh Forumgazer, sounds like you are going to have an outie soon! Never had a piercing there though, so can's advise.

Alas no... and mine was done under duress as my little sister wanted hers and mum said she couldn't unless I had it too
OH can't believe that any mum would do this - mind you he can't stand earrings either

thanks ladies for the not so reassuring news

I'm trying to keep busy (my house is spotless, I don't think anything is left to clean!) but I'm so bored! Highlight if my day yesterday was walking to the library to return my books, normally takes 15 mins there and back but I was out nearly 40 mins cos my feet were killing me! OH is off today so want to go out and enjoy the sun and hopefully kick start this labour!:)

I have a belly-button piercing from years ago - had it done after DD was born. This is my 3rd baby since having it done, and it goes right back to normal afterwards - no weird stretching or horrid looking bits. I've never not been able to wear a belly-button ring in it again, although this time I won't be replacing it as I feel too 'old' to get away with it now :o

My belly-button is almost an outie now too. I feel huge. My hips hurt today also. I've got to go and sit at the theatre tonight too and watch DD dance in her annual show, so I'm going to be in agony tomorrow :(

The kids break up for Easter hols today ... only 2 days at school in April left for them with the hols and then the day off for the Royal Wedding. Once it hits May my due date is going to feel scarily close, as I'm convinced that one way or another I won't make it to my date. I'm sure I'll go into labour before then, or be induced before then, so I would have a June baby then. I'm starting to get nervous now

Vibes for all the boldies ;)

    Morning ladies,

Loving the weather at the moment, very happy at the thought that I might even have a little bit of colour for bubs arrival (even if it is pink :o)

    Congrats PC! Gorgeous pics :D

Thanks for posting your birth story Dusty, did make me cry a little :)

Alfalfa& Dipsy, IMO there is NOTHING wrong with looking forward to a sweep, my midwife attempted one the day before my due date, unfortunately cervix isn't ready yet so a sweep wouldn't help things, she did touch the babies head though  (Consequently DH wont help me out with THAT eviction method, incase he does the same thing :rotfl:)

Due date yesterday, made sure I kept busy, got a feeling that bubs will wait for induction so am on the countdown to that now. Someone at work said that due day coming with no baby is like christmas day with no presents, completely understand that now! Seems mad that we've been counting down for the last 8 months or so, oh well not long now though.

    Hope your all ok xx
