Sammy - love the dress is gorgeous.

We have just been watching the football, OH is an arsenal supporter so not happy. Poor baby has no chance we have already been bought a mini arsenal kit lol.
  • Had a restless spurt of energy today and DH and I cleaned the 1st floor, skirting, dados, ceiling mouldings the lot. Not sure about the ground floor though I'm knackered now

Hi everyone - sending love to BBM and labour vibes to those who need them.

DH, DS and I have been out all day having a 'fun day' before babe comes. We went swimming, to the cinema and then soft play! Fab day was had and DS is now absolutely fast asleep!

I have been packing my hospital bag and now feel almost ready! Also ordered the Angelcare movement and sound monitor from Amazon - does anyone have any experience of this monitor? It has really good reviews and can be used in the moses basket apparently. We used the Tommee Tippee sensor pad with DS and it kept going off in the night when he rolled off it, which was really bad for our nerves. That was 2006 though, so I am hoping that this one is much improved with time.

I had a load of mucus today, but no blood so not sure if it was a show or just my cervix getting ready. x

For anyone so inclined, I've found a few online guides for making your own belly bands and some other maternity sewing. I haven't tried any yet so can't vouch for their success.

Links to other sewing projects. The page is quite old so not all the links work.

When I read this, I missed the 'DS' and thought - why on earth is Dipsy and her DH going to soft play?? :rotfl:
Sounds like you had great fun.

Firstly, congratulations to all the new mums.

I have never, ever had weight issues. Always been a healthy, very consistent weight. When I am not pregnant I weigh 11st 5, which gives me a BMI of about 21/22. Tonight (at 40+3) I am :eek::eek: as I have just found I weigh 15st 10. I have put on an extra 38% in bodyweight! No wonder my knees and ankles hurt.

Why do I put on so much weight? All I can think of is that I am good at making milk - my little boy thrived and shot up through the percentile lines like a rocket. And I lost all the weight with no effort, well just having my normal active lifestyle.

    Ugh I feel awful now!

Love it :rotfl: he's getting well fed up now. It's a new format so taking much longer. He's running out of nice things to say about the naughtier ones.
