hngrymummy wrote: »yay on the sick free days :T. I can still remember that wonderful feeling. Just to reassure you some more, Matthew has the right number of limbs, eyes, nose etc...shame he was orange with green spots
Keep eating and drinking. Being hungry or thirsty doesn't help with things. Having looked up how bad hyperemesis can be for you and sproglet, I realised that the tablets were by far the better option.
Long may the sick-free-ness continue.
The nail polish thing had me chuckling. I have Raynauds, so my nails were a beautiful shade of blue from the start of my labour.Aww thanks hungrymummy and congrats on the birth of little Matthew. I've just searched back and found a photo - what a little cutie he is, you must be very proud.

Not meaning to scare everyone but I often sneek into the parent thread to read how the newly graduated mummies are doing and alot of them are struggling with b/f. I wish I had just stayed in my naive little bubble that being a mum was a peice of cake..........
Marchlands tonight tho and left over home made chinese for tea mmmmm Anyone else been watching marchlands?
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Hi and welcome, i've added you to the list, i make it that you're due 7th april, is that right? Do you know the flavour of your bubs?
Looks like you have a couple of bump buddie swho are due the same day as you.
I went on a trip to meadowhall today. Took the kids on the train using my family and friends railcard. Thought i'd have a little retail therapy, but it appears i have forgotten how to spend money, yet my 13 year old daughter has inherited the skill i used to have!
edit to add....just taken another look at the list....when did i make it to 7th?:eek::eek::)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)

lol JoJo I remember shopping trips with my mum , me and my sister needed to be dragged out of claires accessories. Mind you a tenner went alot further then than it does now. Going to BM Bargains after work , buy OH's packlunch treats there and I need some bread.Strange shop really , sells everything from milk to side boards my sister hasnt really cottoned on to it and calls it the "dear poundshop" Lol. Still its free to park and I dont need to do a massive detour and if I go to Asda Il end up buying loads of stuff I dont needThanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Hey I swear I keep moving back down the list, stop queue jumping everyone
On stretch marks. Apparently SilDerm is the only one that's been clinically proven to work. I got a sample in one of the freebie packs so may give it a go.0 -

lol! LabLover - some of us on here are already parents so no stranger to the highs and lows of breastfeeding - I think it's best not to get too hung up on the possible probs - just try and go with flow (sorry about the pun)
What is this Marchlands? - is it a scary thing? - I quite like scary things if it is?0 -
All moisturisers only work on the top layers of skin which is dead anyway.. skin is waterproof otherwise we would leak so putting cream on is like putting it on a plastic bag.. it makes the outside feel smoother but the inside is just as crinkly. It all seems a bit pointless, but as I like to feel smooth and slimy and smell nice I do use just an ordinary body lotion.. mainly for my eczema which is widespread and very dry.
After having my first and getting stretch marks from that pregnancy I have only got another 2 stretch marks from the others..It is more to do with genetics and the elasticity of your skin.. which can be age related but I have seen some of the most dreadful stretch marks on young girls which is sad for them, my friends sister had her first at 15 and has really angry red SM's from her boobs to her knees and she has the section scar too with the droopy flap of skin hanging over.. she had creams to camouflag them from the hospital they are so bad. The same friend had her son at 18 and is the same despite the both of them moisturising carefully several times a day. Guess what I amsaying is if you are going to get them there is nothing you can do about it.. but think of the gorgeous little life that has come from having them
As for the bf woes, I had no trouble at all with a few of mine, despite them being prem and not quite knowing what to do. I did find a lot of it was down to confidence which obviously it is all ne when you have the first baby your are new to handling the baby and feeding and everything is done cautiously I found hinking of boobs as a body part like an arm or an ear helped.. which is all they are really, they are not sex organs! Remembering if your baby can be squeezed out of a small foof and not break, or with a section they are dragged out by their head, not lifted carefully or gently they can survive you folding them firmly to feed them. They do pick up on your apprehension and get jittery. I would also say many hospitals want you to feed the baby too soon they have to want to be fed. DD1 was born at 11am and the staff nagged my bum off to feed her.. nag nag nag.. but she was having none of it.. she wanted feeding at 2am and she refused to feed before then and when she was ready she went on like a dream but the staff had been squawking about bottles from about 3pm. They can survive a good few days without a feed.. it isn't particularly good for them but they survive.
In true Disney style.. believe in yourself! lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
