Snap again lol. I posted earlier about the intense pressure on my bladder since last night. I swear he was going to pop out lol. It actually took my breath away a couple of times when he/she moved. I know he was already head down but he must of moved. Ive had the actual baby cause me any discomfort yet. Must be the dreaded last 10 weeks lol.

Me too! I agree must be the last 10 weeks!
  • Hi everyone just having a huge catch up!

Welcome to DogLover, ClaireLoo and SDH, and any other new joiners - we're all here for any questios you might have, all a learning curve for everyone.

Pixie, I can relate re: ice cream, only just about managed to drag myself away from the Magnums in Sainsburys on the weekend... yummy but will see if I can resist again or not... likely I will talk myself into getting them though as I have been quite good this week.

Coops228 what hynobirthing cd did you get? I am interested in trying it, anything that may help with the pain!

Honeypop labour vibes your way, I think you haven't popped just yet anyway!

Sharkey congrats on Sofia, great name as it's mine in Portuguese he he! Bet you are so happy.

Hngry lovely name Matthew and you must feel so overjoyed to finally meet him - enjoy!

Galvaniser congrats on team pink - we'll find out hopefully on 11th March if Sweetpea is cooperating!

Had a bit of a scare Monday after work, we DTD and I bled lots, to the point of dripping, so we ended up in A&E from 7:15 until 11pm. All ok now but was so scary. As a result we had another scan today just to check everything, it all went well and we got to see a very clear little hand and are so relieved. Wish there was more info in the literature to explain that after sex there can be some bleeding but the key is that if it continues, there are clots or there is pain is when to worry. As it is, if it stops shortly after and no pain, no fever etc, then all should be ok. At least we are prepared now! Not quite the Valentines we had hoped for so we celebrated Tues instead...

Someone just posted "why are you giving him that - he's way too young you idiot" :(
She replied "well he only takes 1.5 oz of the other milk but is keeping his mouth open as if he wants more but won't drink"

I feel sorry for her, she's only 18 and was removed from her family at 14 and hasn't seen any of them since....I want to help but don't want to come across condecending.

Oh dear! bless her - might be best to post something about could she contact her HV for advice on the milk situation.
She may not respond that well coming from others espec if they don't have personal experience.

Not strictly speaking true as DS was on blue top milk for hungry babies on medical advice very early so it's not just for older babies - it would likely have the effect of making the baby constipated if it didn't suit though you are right there and doesn't sound like the right thing for this baby just to help him sleep!

I didnt know that, I thought it was babies maybe a couple of months old. I had to put DS on hungry baby milk as he was taking too large a volume of first milk, but it was at 4 months or so.
Maybe her HV as advised it then. Not for him sleeping but for his diet?

  • Afternoon ladies,

Hope your all ok, congrats to new babymummies!

Teenie, do you have contents insurance? If your laptop is dropped after damaging it you may well be able to claim for it (some policies cover it as standard, some you need accidental damage, some you need 'unspecified items cover').

I 'won' my obi-tens machine the other day, paid £30 for it inc postage and its still in the sealed box, just didn't want to be worrying about sending it back when its going to be a bit hectic!

I have finally got a physio appointment :j I went to the doctors a few weeks ago with back and pelvis pain, was told that there's no way I'd see an NHS physio before I dropped (think I had about 12 weeks to go at that point), he then gave me a card for a private physio that he knows  Last night took the dog for a short walk (literally no more than 1/2 mile), came home and was in agony :( woke up this morning and could hardly walk, had to phone in sick at work (its becoming a fortnightly thing now, they are really good at my work but I don't like taking time off), went to the docs again this morning, saw a lovely female doctor who called a physio and got me booked in for next week! She thinks I have SPD but said that they'll be able to help, don't know if it was the hormones but I nearly cried with relief!

    Sorry for the rant/essay!

    BB xx

P.S. Did the facebook preg group ever get started?xx

Its came round so quickly. i feel as though ive been counting up to 40 weeks until now. But now I feel im counting down lol does that make sense?

ive also expanded in the last week or so. it could of been my weekend of stuffing my face though. But my jacket is only just zipping up, its getting too tight though. i hope Spring is early this year so I dont need to buy a new jacket.

I used SMA gold (the yellow top) with DD as she was normal feeding wise but with DS he was totally different so we switched to the blue top for hungrier babies (can't remember exactly when but it was very early on) - I could be wrong but thought they are both first milks.
I didn't question it too much at the time I must admit as he was my first and it was what the HV recommended - this might have changed nowdays (this was over 8 years ago)

After 5 years of trying he was conceived through their 2nd cycle of IVF - a true miracle. I'm sat here blubbing like a mad thing.
