I don't think you can Apricot
unless you just send her a message saying you know a bit about it and if you can help then to contact you, that way you're not being bossy but just there if she wants your advice. At 1 week they're not likely to sleep much anyhow, so if that really is her top priority there's not much you can do.
Lablover, definitely hold out for getting it free, especially if they've said so at customer services (if they need to they could phone and speak to the woman who told you to go in I'm sure).
Wendz could you try a bra extender for the moment, or is it the cup size that's too tight?0 -
I have no idea on bras but I know I need some new ones - OH's brother nearly got an eyeful yesterday when I bent down for something! :rotfl:
My sister's friend has a baby (1 week old today) and she's just posted on Facebook saying that she's put him on hungry baby milk to make him sleep but he's only taking 1 oz at a time and then being sick
How can I tell her to put him back on the normal milk without sounding like a bossy old cow? It can't be good for him being so little or should I just ignore it?
Hopefully her HV will tell her off. You could ask her as if your asking advice for when yours comes. something like ' i thought hungry baby milk is for older babies? maybe you should switch back and see if that helps'
The poor wee thing will probably end up all bunged up.
Fingers crossed digi that your like this flat. £50 does seem a lot extra, but if its for an extra room then its not too bad if your happier and enjoy living there. Will you save or cost more for petrol for travelling to work etc?
Wendz, is it the same problem with your car? I remember yours was in the same time as mine. Both the cars skint us totally for Feb.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
I think it is back size as it is the bottom that digs in. Might try that, thanks! x
Apricot - i would leave her to it as well, don't think new Mum's take well to being told what to do.
Yes same problem Nic , the engine light is coming off and it is shuddering. OH is refusing to pay for the labour time due to the fact it keeps going in. They seemed to have tried a few things and nothing has sorted it yet.0 -

Course you can! I keep thinking its Friday too.My sister's friend has a baby (1 week old today) and she's just posted on Facebook saying that she's put him on hungry baby milk to make him sleep but he's only taking 1 oz at a time and then being sick

Oh dear, is she fed up with him being awake already? Do what Krystal says...Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

Would you consider a netbook? I got mine from Very, got a new customer first order discount and buy now pay next year... I've been paying dribs and drabs off it so I don't have to find a lump sum come April...
I did look at them but ahem I don't really know what they areare they just smaller laptops
sorry! Oooh DH has a Very account never thought of that! It will have to be on finance and the last one we got was from PC World but I can't see anything about them doing finance now???
Apricot, I would put something like "ooh, doesn't sound like it's agreeing with him, might be worth swapping back to the other milk"
Yeah that's a better way of putting it than I was thinking LOL. At that age their tummies are only teeny tiny
I cannot stop going to the toilet today and I really feel bubs on my bladder so looks like he/she might have turned one way or another rather than lying transverse. I know it's too early yet as he could turn back again but I do feel a bit happier."That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
Someone just posted "why are you giving him that - he's way too young you idiot"
She replied "well he only takes 1.5 oz of the other milk but is keeping his mouth open as if he wants more but won't drink"
I feel sorry for her, she's only 18 and was removed from her family at 14 and hasn't seen any of them since....I want to help but don't want to come across condecending.:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
Wendz , have they tried lambda sensor (sp) ? Spark plugs? Cyclinders. Sounds like an exhaust emissions fault , when you start it does it sound like its running rich i.e lots of petrol/diesel smell. Is there a put put noise from the engine i.e like a 60's camper van? Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!
Gorgeous baby boy born 7/7/110 -
They have tested the light and comes up that one of the clyninders is misfiring. They have replaced spark plugs and core plugs. They have sealed wherever the coulant is that was leaking onto core plugs. They stripped the engine all down last time as well. It doesn't sound that bad when you drive it, it just struggles. Hopefully they find whatever it is this time.0

Not strictly speaking true as DS was on blue top milk for hungry babies on medical advice very early so it's not just for older babies - it would likely have the effect of making the baby constipated if it didn't suit though you are right there and doesn't sound like the right thing for this baby just to help him sleep!
Apricot - I would keep well out of it if I were you - or put something like what Krystal has suggested - no idea what your friend is like but new mum's have a tendency to get a bit touchy about the most well wished advice in my experience
On subject of the Boots changing bag - I have given up! - my Tiny Love Mozart mobile arrived today though from ebay - it's a real bargain - hope this baby likes it as much as DS and DD did.0 -

Snap again lol. I posted earlier about the intense pressure on my bladder since last night. I swear he was going to pop out lol. It actually took my breath away a couple of times when he/she moved. I know he was already head down but he must of moved. Ive had the actual baby cause me any discomfort yet. Must be the dreaded last 10 weeks lol.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0
