  • I'd recommend you don't take the dog out for a walk if you have got SPD as it reaally, really, hurts afterwards - and during. I used to go on weekly long walks and ended up being in agony after, I'm sure this is what has made my SPD worse. Probably would have been alright otherwise. Damned annoying, I love walking. Though maybe you don't have anyone else who can take your dog out? Tough one. Hope the physio helps you. I must say my appointment on Tuesday seems to have helped a fair bit. Got some exercises to do but keep forgetting. I just have to do little bits around the house, then sit down for a while. Very frustrating but the pain is too much otherwise.

I may see about buying a TENS machine then. The ELLE seems good, but don't really know anything about them. Do they mention them at the antenatal classes?

The bl%dy Boots changing bag... Think I'll just give up... OH will have to use my fabulous Pink Lining one as well :rotfl: Hope you get yours LabLover.

Got a house viewing tonight. Was all excited until I looked at the street view on Google and not sure about the parking situ. It says off road parking on the description. No way are we paying that much rent if the parking isn't off road/proper. They also want an extra £100 deposit per cat, we have 2, so will work out quite expensive. Not looking so good now, but we'll have a look anyway.

Thats Digi, I seem to be ok if I just go around the block a few times, but luckily DH is fine to take her out by himself, just feel bad as I loved the exercise and we'd always have a proper natter on dogwalks. Also, the idea of spending the next 7-9 weeks without exercising is really depressing! Have tried swimming but it has the same effect as walking unfortunately :( Not too long now! Just so happy that I am seeing a physio now though :)

My antenatal classes talked about TENS as a method of pain relief, but not the specific machines. The 3 types that I looked at were the 'elle', 'obi' and 'mama', all seemed to have good reviews, I bought the Obi as I liked the skinny remote style.

Do your cats tend to damage/destroy much? If not, it might be worth either paying it, or asking if they would consider reducing it if you can get a good ref from a previous landlord?

Has anyone got any recommendations for hypnobirthing cd's? Apart from a slight blip on OBEM I think it really helped the girl on Monday?

    Afternoon Ladies,

Dusty - That's great news about your friend. She must be so happy :j RE the nursing bras, I was advised to go get measured at about 38 weeks, so that's what I will do at M&S and then get a two pack from there.

Apricot - That's nice of you to help your sisters friend. I guess just be supportive and offer any advice when you can.

Congrats Hngrymummy on baby Matthew and Sharkey on baby Sofia.

Sorry, pg brain has stopped me retaining anything else. Hope everyone is well and baby's behaving themselves.

It seems that DH and I have settled on a name for baby girl :) We keep referring to her by the name so it looks like it has stuck! We really like it - not too overused, but not wacky and out there either :o. I can't wait til she's here :)

So I have no idea what position baby is in. I though I felt hiccups lower down during the night, but now I'm not sure if I was dreaming that as I haven't felt any hiccups since. Just a lot of shuffling about - esp on the right hand side. MIL annoyed me last night having a go saying I could only feel hiccups because I drink too much Diet Coke. Uh, actually i drink caffeine free diet coke, 1 can a day maybe. I only have 1 cup of tea a day. I don't drink coffee, I don't drink alcohol and I haven't smoked, and you want to begrudge me a can of flipping Diet Coke?????? Ooh, rant from me!

On a positive, we put up the pram yesterday which was very exciting! But it looks huge!! I swear it's bigger than when it was in the shop. It def won't fit in my porch lol.

Sorry for the epic post, hope you are all well x

Not that I've heard of. We have to source our own. That's good you get to loan one though.

I'm lucky in that my sister has given me her barely used one. Just need to read the instructions before its too late!
  • Get used to MIL thinking you are public property
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x
  • Afternoon,

Congrats Sharkey and Mr Sharkey xxx

erm...I've read back but I'm completely and utterly shattered and the next 17 weeks can't go quick enough. I now can't get to sleep and think I had 4 and half hours in total. I've always been a poor sleeper and had to have spells on sleeping tablets before (I'm still on anti-d's). Whats the likely hood of my GP giving me just a weeks worth of sedative? Can't remember what baby program I was watching but a woman in overnight before being induced was offered a sedative so guess can't be harmful?

I'm even thinking of trying to sleep at my mums house as somewhere different, she is less than 400m away so not as though will leave OH and cat alone for long lol!!

In other news baby likes Walkers Fry up crisps :rotfl: Getting better response than Haribo :rotfl:
:heart2:Baby boy madbird arrived 15/06/11 by emergency csection weighing 9lb 13oz:eek: love him so much xx:heart2:

My SIL told me that she got to use one at our local hospital, but nevr mentioned about loaning them. Also I meant to say that our local hospital tells you not to pack many clothes for baby. The have a massive rail and box full of baby grows for you to use while in hospital, and they wash them in their laundrette when your done.Dont know if any other hospitals are the same
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!
Gorgeous baby boy born 7/7/11 :D
  • If its any help to anyone I can see that the person that I bought my tens off of still has one left on ebay, I can't comment on the seller or item as yet as I havn't received it yet, all I can say is that I bought it on Tues and its been marked as dispatched for yesterday if anyone is looking to buy instead of rent x

  • hi
If the bras are only a little bit big i would get a 38FF as then thats only 1 cup size smaller, and may be a bit more comfy, especially when your milk comes in-I remember feeling like dolly parton when mine came in lol I looked like I had 2 great big melons stuck on my chest :rotfl: although I made sure i wore a baggier top cos i was always embarrased by them as they looked reeeaaalllyy big compared to normal :o luckily they went down after a few days lol

Thanks for that :) Hubby told me the other night he thought they had shrunk but I explained that the fact I have a huge bump under them now might give that impression :rotfl:

Teenie a netbook is just like a laptop only smaller and they don't have a CD/DVD drive... We just bought an external because the drive has gone on DHs lappy anyway... The small screen and keyboard is a bit wierd at first but you get used to it... Oh, and mine has better memory than Ds lappy too!!

Excuse the spellings I just c&p it. I had to say something and I don''t think she took it too badly - she's literally got no one (except her boyfriend)
It's good she has you to look out for her :)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
