Oh forgot about bras..I've got the nursing ones from Matalan, but I've just dug out my cheapo sports bra from Asda, they aren't too restricting if you know what I mean about sports bras, its so comfortable, wish dug out earlier
Think they were a pack of 2 for £6.00 in either black and white.
:heart2:Baby boy madbird arrived 15/06/11 by emergency csection weighing 9lb 13oz:eek: love him so much xx:heart2:0 -
My SIL told me that she got to use one at our local hospital, but nevr mentioned about loaning them. Also I meant to say that our local hospital tells you not to pack many clothes for baby. The have a massive rail and box full of baby grows for you to use while in hospital, and they wash them in their laundrette when your done.Dont know if any other hospitals are the same
Don't think my hospital offers this service but I don't think I'd fancy taking it up - I would prefer to bring my own for baby0 -
I was offered a Tens both times in hospital. From 2 different hospitals too. But like the pool, if they were getting used you couldnt have one. it also means you dont have it at home for the build up. But with DD i hadnt even considered a Tens, so when they offered it to me I thought it was fab.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0

When I was pregnant with ds1 (8years ago!!) I was told by the midwife, that i could hire a tens machine from the dr's surgery for a small amount (can't remember how much, but it was just to cover the cost of the sticky pads) but cos he was early i didn't get round to hiring one, but when i was in labour with him the hospital gave me one to use for free!! Not sure if they still do-I didn't bother with ds 2 cos i wasn't that impressed with it with ds 1 but i think i started using too late, but i'm going to ask my midwife about it when i next see her.0

Re, bra sizing.
I think the big shops, eg mothercare, m&s, bravissimo recommend waiting until 2-3 weeks before your due date before buying nursing bra's.
I have gone from 32dd to a 34f. I told my fitter that with dd my back shrunk straight back down, so i didn't want to try a 36.
I remember with dd when my milk came in, my boobs filled up so much that i looked like Jordan- uncomfortable, but impressive:)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)

another thing we used to recommend for pregnant ladies with their bras, was to use those bra extenders to extend the back, to make them last a little longer rather than keep buying new bras in differetn sizes! might be worth looking at!0

Honeypop labour vibes your way, I think you haven't popped just yet anyway!
No, I'm still here. Hopefully not for much longer, still got the dragging feeling in belly and back since yesterday, not gone away at all so been very uncomfortable all day, and (sorry TMI) just had quite a bloody show.
I remember last time, I lost my plug several times over a couple of weeks, and I know it regenerates itself and doesn't mean in itself that anything is going to happen soon, but this was very different. And (again TMI lol) I couldn't believe the amount of it... felt a big plop feeling in my undies as I picked DS up, and was like 'what the...' as I went to the loo to investigate and there was a fist sized amount of bloody goo!
Whited it out, as thought people might be about to eat dinner and be sensitive. Highlight above to read.0 -
Lab, if you're anything like me, the smell will give you indigestion... You might aswell just go with the curry lol...
