I had a MW appointment this morning. We talked about having my homebirth. She went through a few things and said she'd finialise getting everything delivered to my house at my next appointment.
Im all excited as she is happy for me to have one if everything stays as it is.
I started to worry a bit though when she was saying how much plastic sheeting etc id need. A coffee table to put the baby on (or a firm surface higher than the floor really) and a good light incase I need stitches. _pale_:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Ooohhh - exciting stuff Sharkey.
I love the fact that you are still posting too- hardcore
Fancy that......a baby (possibly) arriving on their due date..........0 -
Good luck Sharkey!!
I don't think I'll be joining you today with a punctual baby.... Lately I've had more Braxton Hicks, more period-like pain, more little twinges and more dodgy guts (sorry for the TMI) - but I guess it's all just practise......
So I think I'll have more time for nesting/cleaning/tidying and mostly just lounging!0 -

Afternoon all
Good luck Sharkeybabe!
Just trying to read back through the thread to see what I've missed
Maternity leave - I plan to go off at 35 weeks (I am having an elective section at 38 weeks) at risk of sounding like a sad lightweight I have a feeling I am going to need to stop working earlier this time - in the past I worked right up till the last minute - too old for that now
Maternity wear - so far I've got some new stuff from Dotty P's online and Mamas and Papas - also Maman JoJobebe online - oh and ebay of course!
I have my scan tomorrow - excited but still bricking it0 -
Afternoon ladies
Wow Sharkey exciting stuff hun good luck!
Consultants appt this morning went well, BP is on the high side 147/90which is annoying as it has been going really well up until now, but he is not overly concerned about it which is the main thing! Since I was there they gave me a sneaky scan which was lovely but didn't see much as bubs was all over the place LOL! Still measuring big for dates but nothing was really said about it (and I measured the same with DD).
Nic hope you feel a bit better about having your home birth now that you have spoken to mw, will make it seem so real when she brings all the bits and pieces round
I am 37th on the list, how did that happen!!!!"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
I finished work at 34 weeks and am glad I did in a way as my SPD got worse which has made things more difficult plus I was able to do some stuff at the beginning of the leave thankfully coz I'm not getting much done now lol
Glad your appt went well Teenie and good luck for tomorrow Gbaby!!!The pod landed and produced baby Timothy on 10th March 20110 -
oooo Good luck sharkey. I too have just been conned with the boots parenting club changing bag(cant remember who it happened to on here ). I opted to collect in store and placed my order etc and evrything was showing on order then when I got my order accepted e-mail it had vanished. Phoned up and they couldnt have been nicer , they have given me a refernce number to give in store, we will see how that pans out. Customer services are nvr good at speaking to the store. The only good thing is my local boots is always really empty after 5 so when I go in begging for my bag no-one will be there to witness it , lolThanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!
