    Morning yawn!
Wish I could go back to sleeping all night, getting so tired now :(. Still at least it's the wknd so can fit in a crafty snooze at some point :D. OH has a nasty habit of staying up watching TV, so when he comes to bed (2am today!!) he wakes me up :(. Luckily I've been asleep since then otherwise there would be trouble!

Re stretchmarks, I have read that moisturiser etc doesn't prevent them, but didn't see much harm in using some anyway. I have the burts bees mamma bee body oil, think it was about £10 but has lasted ages and smells yummy :).

Re mums and time with baby, funnily enough OH made a comment last night about his folks coming to the hospital to visit us when baby was only hours old!! That went down about as well as a ton of bricks, i think he keeps forgetting that I want home as soon as possible!! Hadn't really thought about having any visitors on the first day so will need to have a think about it, i suppose both our parents will want to come see their new grandson :)

    Nice hospital bag here £3.71

This Elfin Wheeled Holdall has a large 60L capacity over 2 compartments but is still easy to carry as this holdall features an internal trolley system and roller wheels. This wheeled holdall is made from 100% Polyester and has a fun pink design. With a front zip pocket the holdall weighs 2.1kg and has a maximum weight of 25kg.

Thanks for the tip GFH. good idea :)

Ema lol at your leaky bo obs. I get a teeny bit but not much so I'd notice. Re hosp visitors, our hosp say they'll keep you in for one nite If alls well and baby is feeding so I really don't want any coming up. Have told OH (and my mum) that only my mum and his mum are allowed in the first week to our house (altho I reckon his mum would bring his sister along regardless).
See how you feel, I've set the warning now. Dont want to be over run with visitors when I'm feeling and looking do carp.

Thanks, I've also ordered one for free instore collection. At least DH wont end up using it! :)

Hope everyone had a sleep filled night. Mine wasn't too bad but not great either. I'm taking DS swimming this morning & can't wait. The children's pool is really warm & it's wonderful being in there for my SPD & other aches & pains :)

I'm going to be 24 weeks on Monday, so close now. It's a big deal for us as I'm at risk of premature delivery so from Monday we know this little boy has a chance. 34 weeks is my main goal although I managed to get to 37.5 weeks with DS.
  • Morning all. Re hospital visitors. I'm likely to at hospital 40 min drive away. My mum doesn't drive but don't really want her out birth. So unless my brother brings her over after baby born she'll have to wait until I get home or OH brings her up the next day. My hospital leaflet says no children other than siblings. Are they usually strict on that? Just if OH brings mum up sil would want to come up with brother and there would be nobody to have niece and nephew, who I would actually want to see lol!

With children visiting, i think it would be at the hospitals discretion, depending on their ages, and how many of them there are-when i had ds1 (8 years ago ) the leaflet said no children but my sil came with her 2 children who were 6 and 8 and they were fine-i think perhaps it's more to do with if they are very young whether they would disturb other mums-although from my experience i was always more disturbed by the 10's of people crowding round each bed at visiting time!! but also i think it's because children tend to be more prone to running about with coughs, colds etc which obviously aren't good for new babys-but i'm sure generally they would be fine with 2 children visiting you-if the midwives thought it was too much they would probably suggest they don't stay too long.

Sorry just realised i've waffled a load of rambling nonsense-hopefully you get the gist of what i was trying to say lol thats what no morning orange juice does to you :rotfl:
  • All made sense lol! They will be 7 and 4. To be honest they will be my only visitors, expect others will have loads more visitors than me and I'll look like billy no mates!
