Congratulations Flower. Looking forward to some more birth stories when you have the energy ladies!

  • What cravings are people having? I keep being asked but I have none whatsoever! I fancy turnip sometimes, like in Asda the other day walking past and was like ooo turnip but didnt buy one cos I have one in lol but I dont NEED to eat it or anything so I dont think its a craving.

What are you all using on your bumps for stretchmark prevention? Ive got this Mum to be stretch mark oil from sainsburys but find it a bit too oily lol so my sister got me some Palmers Cocoa butter which I have been using, not everyday though because I forget but just interested what others use and if it works lol.

My cravings started off at about 8 weeks when I craved salt. I tried not to indulge that one though as know how bad salt can be for you. It then turned into a craving for avocado (like Titch) at about 16weeks and then recently Kellogs Corn Flakes.

Earlier I had a craving for cornflakes with Carte D'Or Vanilla Ice cream - I had a nap and when I woke up I was ravenous and just had to have some......they were really nice :D

When it comes to stretchmarks I have been using Mamma Mio Tummy Butter for Stretchmarks. It is quite expensive but it smells AMAZING and they quite often do discount codes for £10 off a spend. Seeing as I can't have a drink and am missing out on some other things while I'm pregnant it's my treat to myself. 35 weeks tomorrow and not a stretchmark in sight - quite good seeing as I know I am prone to them as I do have some old ones from weight gain many years ago.

Dusty - when it comes to you wanting to be alone for a bit in hospital, could you phrase it so that she's the person you trust at that moment to make all the calls that need to be made and pass on all the details that need to be passed on? After all, DH will be in too much of a tizz to remember anything sensible to say ;) Give her your mobile, a list of names and numbers and maybe a few quid for a lovely coffee and piece of cake to thank her for doing such an important job. That way she's not feeling pushed out, but is finding herself doing a very 'important' job for you.

    Clever, and tactful.:T:T:T
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x
  • Congratulations Flower 10 days in hospital  you must be so glad to be home!

I haven't read anything for the past many many days.
I have had my lovely gorgeous baby daughter last Sunday 6th Feb.
We were finally allowed out of the hospital last night 10 days after I had gone in!
It was a real medical adventure. I will write a birth story as soon as I have caught up with 'normal' life.
Everything well worth it. I just look at her and my heart melts and I get tears to my eyes.

Congrats! have you got a name yet?

10 days! I did 1 before and 4 after and it felt like forever 10 days must have felt like a lifetime, bet your glad to be both home and well.

:eek::o:o TMI alert, sorry, I have stuff coming out of my nipples. Only a tiny bit at mo, but v strange!! Just had to share with someone, sorry if I'm being really gross!!

PC I'm willing myself to the top, but only once we finish decorating our room at least, house is still a building site and we're stressing if we're going to get it back together before wriggle arrives

I found it quite easy to annoy people even though we knew. I'm obviously just good at annoying people. :p
    I don't believe that for a second :p

I'm still here, although baby keps teasing me. Had painful contractions this morning between 1:30 and 2am. Decided not to wake DH as he'd need his sleep if it was anything, then thought I should go back to sleep too. Woke up this morning, and it'd all stopped again. Deep sigh.
That happened with me with DD2... I DTD with hubby the next morning and it kicked it all off properly ;)

This time my BHs sometimes feel like full on proper contractions... 2 woke me up the other night they were so strong!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Congratulations! Looking forward to a piccie when you feel up to it! Poor you, 10 days in hospital. Enjoy your mummy cuddles at home :)

I am as well. Got a long way to go yet though, only 28+4 though! We also need to move house before bubs comes! Nothing suitable yet, something came up but they didn't want animals, so no go. Desperate to get out of this house, I hate it :(
Can't wait for bubs to come, but I bet he'll be late!
