Dla - april 2011 new rules

Hello Ladies / Gents

Has any one heard from the DLA as yet regarding the new rules that come into play as from April 2011 for blind and HRM?

Just wanted to know if any one had their call yet?

:)

They asked me if I had my CVI. I have it somewhere - although it's very out of date. (because I'm still registered as partially sighted, it won't get changed) I know what my vision is anyway. Unless it's changed again.

The criteria hasn't exactly been kept a secret.

So did you have to send in the CVI at a later date? or will they contact your specialise?

I haven't got my cvi either as it was from back in 1984 so sent them a letter from my eye surgeon instead.

when they phoned they asked for me by my married name.......a name id stopped using since before i was registered blind! ( even though my DLA letters come addressed to my maiden name, which i reverted to.
she said 'your registered partially sighted. i said no im registered blind.
    she said..since when?
    i said since forever!!
i was already registered blind before i claimed DLA.
is it a wonder that people have no confidence in the system?
