Insofar as the 'drop-off & pick-up' issues are concerned on this thread, perhaps the following link may prove to be informative & useful.
http://www.london-luton.co.uk/en/content/7/173/drop-off-and-pick-up.html
'Option 1' seems pretty reasonable & attractive, especially given the fact that it's still a 2 minute walk to the terminal building from the 'Priority Set Down' area costing £1 for 10 minutes (option 3).0 -
Hi, update on op, i today 5 months later received the Roxburghe Debt Collectors letter, it has taken a while. I have ignored all letters. This says the usual rubbish then they have added a bit about how they are aware that people are getting advice from here etc and how we ahould not listen to any of it and seek advice. i'e contact them etc!
As for people saying why not pay it is only £1 etc. If you leave home at 5.am and no nothing about the drop off zone and charges you are then stuck, it is not even like you would have time to get out, get some cash etc as they give you 10 mins. Also they have fenced off the entire road, even if you walk down getting out as a pedestrian is very difficult and confusing. There are no exits all the way around the terminal the fence is all the way down under the bridge too. The difficulties you experience once there are not apparent until you are there!0 -

Nope a DCA can not report on a non existent debt. To report a debt on a CRF report it has to be covered by an agreement or contract. Or a debt which has been successfully claimed at county court, and a CCJ obtained.
These companies use this as a threat knowing full well they would have to win at court, and you not pay any order from the court before anything could harm your CRF.
Of course they don't mention this when they say " You may have problems obtaining credit in the future"0 -

Errrr...no you most certainly do not, these are NOT FINES.
You need to read the sticky threads 'PPC letters, what to expect' which is self-explanatory - and 'welcome, please read before posting' and view the Watchdog clip there:

As Coupon-Mad says you owe them nothing simply ignore them. Even by PPC standards these invoices are nonsense. Normally they try and say people form a contract by parking. In this instance they are saying you stop and drop someone off we will penalise you £80. They have no authority to penalise anybody!0

Hi
after having received a parking enforcement for dropping off a passenger in a non designated spot. I appealed to APCOA parking and said that i was the driver and signed the letter from myself. As I have now admitted being the driver should I pay the £80 or can I still ignore the letters as advised in this forum.
many thanks for any advice.0
