A little harsh but must say effactive, I will brave this storm in the knowledge that I'm not the only one.0 -
It's a storm in a teacup, no more. On pepipoo fightback forums they call the letters 'a blizzard of boll ocks'! :rotfl:
Have you seen the second to top thread with the Watchdog clip and preview pictures of your letters? 'PPC Letters & threats' is the one.
I have ignored 2 fake PCNs and laughed at them both, it made my day when I got my second one last month! And I am just a wife & Mum of 4 with a responsible job, husband with a responsible job, both fully CRB checked and all. I am ex-financial sector (Bank) so I would never risk affecting my credit record. It doesn't happen with this scam.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You aren't and you never will be. We know categorically that despite the tens of thousands of threats APCOA produced across the whole country (which includes the Luton Airport milchcow) in 2011 in not one, single solitary case did they issue proceedings. They never have been near court and never will do. It isn't part of their business model which is based on concentrating on those poor souls who simply stump up their money regardless.
.
Thank you HO87, I will refrain frim paying: What I don't understand is that the incident took place on 02/07/2012 but only recieved the notice 10/08/2012 over a month later? I would have thought that they would have processed this within days.
Once again thank you.0 -
They probably had to wait for a few victims to pay up, so that they could afford some more toner, paper, envelopes and stamps. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0

Once again thank you.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
How do we know that there wasn't an earlier notice for a lower amount? The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0

They undoubtedly could but it isn't of any significance unless you subscribe to the conspiracy theory that posits that such companies deliberately delay issuing their notices believing that after a month memories will have faded and the victim recipient is less likely to attempt to fight it.
Tomorrow is the first headline date to pay up @ half price (£40) thereafter it will be £80. The story (which I have not shared) is that at the airport right at the top of airport road, I stopped at the roundabout (This was @ 07:00) to let my son off so he could help his sister upon arrival too approximately 5 sesonds, I drove off to wait in ASDA car park in nearby estate, returned 45mis later to pickup my family, this time I paid up my £1 and utilising the "pickup/drop-off" area, 30+ days later the notice drops through the letter box.
As this is not a parking infringement notice, is this scerario similar to others incountered or is it one that warrents payment? :undecided0 -
It is no different - Just keep ignoring the scammers.0
