The soya icecream is a bit of an improvised recipe, but the scones are extremely simple.Basically its just your standard scone mix with grated carrot and cumin powder/seeds added

Im so used to making both that I tend to judge by eye rather than use scales now though so im not to good a passing on recipes

The scones are lovely with some soya marg, or dipped in soup.I also make butternut squash scones with a touch of cinnamon which are so scrummy! (I adapt a sue lawrence recipe)

Do you have any idea roughly how much carrot you would add to a batch of scones? 1 grated carrot for a batch that makes 8 scones? I have a feeling I'd add way too much and just have soggy orange blobs

Right did this the other week and it went really well - then didn't post and was all over the shop. Lesson learnt ;)

Breakfasts: are banana muffin and yoghurt with a spoonful of jam.

    Day / Lunch / Dinner

Monday: Sausage and lentil stew / Veg soup (hm)
Tuesday: out for lunch / at my grandmas
Weds: boiled egg and solders / veg soup
Thursday: cottage pie / veg soup
Friday: fishcakes and beans / risotto
Saturday: veg soup / hm pizza

ha ha can you see a pattern. I'm off on holiday soon so trying to shift a few pounds. (already lost 5 :j) so made a HUGE batch of veg soup which is nice an filling and low cal/fat. Normally I wouldn't mind - but I've got a bridesmaids dress to fit into . I like friends who pick warm places to get married in (well apart from the cost ;))

Could you share your veg soup recipe please? It must be nice to eat it so often, my veg soup has never looked or tasted remotely nice :o
