Doing well and have stuck religiously to the meal plan....this really works :T
It really does! I find I am baking more and more, and yet where I used to find it expensive on top of what we had to buy, now I bake as a substitute it's saving us loads of money!
It also means a lot less food waste! We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -

The soya icecream is a bit of an improvised recipe, but the scones are extremely simple.Basically its just your standard scone mix with grated carrot and cumin powder/seeds added
Im so used to making both that I tend to judge by eye rather than use scales now though so im not to good a passing on recipes
The scones are lovely with some soya marg, or dipped in soup.I also make butternut squash scones with a touch of cinnamon which are so scrummy! (I adapt a sue lawrence recipe)0 -

Hi All
I'm impressed with you all sticking to your meal plans - I tried it and failed miserably!
I've got a very carnivorous, very fussy, body-building 19yo son - who also won't eat left overs  Drives me mad! I can make something one week and he loves it, but the next time I make it he says he doesn't like it/has gone off it GRRRR:mad:
And always asks 'has it got meat in it?'
Anyway, I made lemon and thyme chicken with hm slimming world chips tonight for us and his mate. Lovely
Might give the meal planning another go as I did find it helped make the shopping easier and spent less than usual.
Anyhoo... rant over - I'm off to meal plan!0 -
