Oh I think I'm going to see Bridesmaids with the girls next week, shame you didnt like it.
Mags have you tried myfitnesspal? It gives you a calorie goal and is very inspirational, I have to tell everyone about it!
How are you finding the Shred?0 -
Which Shred DVD did you go for Mags?
I thought there was only one Shred  Am I wrong? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Jillian-Michaels-Day-Shred-DVD/dp/B002RNOS2Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1308168884&sr=8-1LittleBoots wrote: »Mags have you tried myfitnesspal? How are you finding the Shred?
Haven't actually done ShredI did put it in the dvd player while having a cup of tea to check it out :rotfl: It seems difficult but really good. Bit confused about how to use it. I think you are supposed to do it every day for 30 days but she doesn't say when you should change levels, just whenever you think yourself :undecided I'd like more specific guidance. And do you just do it for 30 days or would doing it every now and again work?
Will check out myfitnesspal, I know you and Kerry love itTotal debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -

Woohoo to myfitnesspal! If you go on the website theres a great forum with lots of advice, lots of success stories etc.
A few people who think they know best and preach stuff they find on Wikipedia as fact...but you get that everywhere.
The general consensus is 10 days on each level, thats what I'm doing. I take a day off each week.
Note, when I first tried it I switched it off after about 5 minutes!!! But tried again and persevered. Your legs will ache but after about 4 days that will go. I've just completed day 6 of level 2 and I promise I am noticing big changes already! Never thought I was capable of it!0 -
Oh, forgot to say, when you exercise they give you more calories0

Myfitnessplan and I aren't getting on. I'm so frustrated with it because I've gone over my recommend calories. Not impressed that a muffin from BB's has nearly 500 calories and a curves workout burns 161 calories  But it is an excellent app...I'll keep working on it.
My day was ruined by a call centre. Took 3 hours  to find somebody to accept a credit card payment which took less than 2 minutes in the end
I wasn't on the phone for all that time but I was promised somebody would call me back in 10 minutes. 45 mins later when nobody had called me back I ring again....and repeat:mad: Anxiety levels through the roof today as a result.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -

Mags do u have Curves Smart at your centre? I usually averaged around 300calories per workout and I'm small(ish). I thought that was a good result as I personally didnt find it that high impact despite being quite unfit.
Oh and I feel your anger with the c card thing. I was like that with work the other day. Spoke to someone regarding an error that was their fault, the person was a right jobsworth who didnt understand the problem, told me it was all my fault (admin error, I have nil access to their systems!!!) and I'd have to write a letter to the HR head. Queue a few hours of worrying I wouldnt be able to work, I then phoned back to confirm who I should write letter to , spoke to someone else who immediately apologised for error and fixed it there and then!!0 -

Not that I know of, don't know what it is. I got the 161 calories from myfitnesspal. 300 would be much nicerDid 3 Curves sessions this week. Had been aiming for 5 but that didn't happen, wish it was open on Saturday.
I've cheered up again, nobodys done anything to annoy me today. My band friend brought me out for a Chinese after work and I had a lovely time. I will try and input that to myftnesspal.

Curves smart is a wee chip thing u get that you pop into the machine and it monitors your impact and calories burnt.
It's hard to say as I only get 160cals from the Shred and that (for me) is a much more priductive workout that what I got from curves0
