    :TI saw the Queen:T
Twice :T I was at the front at the barrier as her car was passing. Got a wave and was so excited. She only stayed for less than an hour so I kept my place at the barrier and watched what was happening on one of the big screens. Then saw her on the way to the airport and got another wave :T

The waiting time wasn't so bad because everyone was chatty even the guards (police) who were out in huge numbers.

The English Market (like an indoor farmers market) where she visited re-opened as soon as she left so I had to go in there to follow in the Queens footsteps :rotfl:as did the rest of the city. It was so packed it took about 30 minutes to get through, normally takes 2-3 mins. The overcrowding was unpleasant but glad I tolerated it given the day it was. It was so good to be there.

Bought some of the prettiest mini cupcakes I've ever seen (well they were made for a Queen), had them with a glass of wine when I got home. Lovely day and such a break from reality :A

Awww glad you got to see the Queen. Apparently I saw Diana in the back of a car when I was about 3 years old but was too young to remember/know who she was!

Have abandoned work for the tv again :o Todays entertainment is Barack Obama in Moneygall. Amazing, he stayed for way longer than scheduled, shook hands with hundreds of people, signed autographs, lifted up babies and most importantly both he and Michelle drank the Guinness :T

Look out for the pics later people, I expect they will be inflicted on the entire world :)

The Obama entertainment got even better as the day went on. I've been watching it all evening. The speech was amazing, can understand the crush Kerry :)

LOVED the mobile phone incident. (Kerry will have seen it) but a girl who was at the front of the crowd and on the phone to her mother asked Barack Obama to say hello to her mother...and he did! He took the phone from her and had a little chat with her mother! His secret service people probably weren't too impressed but it was great fun.

Typing on the phone so can't post a link but the Father Ted incident of the day was the indestructible car getting stuck on a ramp at the gates of the American embassy in Dublin:rotfl:No real harm done but so embarrassing for a supposedly indestructible vehicle :D I can imagine that incident becoming a YouTube classic

He's left for London already in case the ash cloud causes problems tomorrow. Wondering if Michelle remembers she's not allowed to touch the Queen, she was hugging and kissing everyone today.

This celebrity watching is very time consuming, not getting anything else done.
